I have to say I'm very pleased with the scrimmages Salem had this year. JF 12-1 last year returned a lot, 14-1 Magna Vista 3a state champs, and 8-4 Brookville squad that looks improved. Salem looked good in the preseason, this was definitely not your Martinsville, Staunton River scrimmage season of old. Kudos to the coaching staff for getting these boys ready to play!

How did the salem/JF benefit game turn out?

Very even, both teams 1's played 3Q & a play into the 4Q since Salem was on the 1 yd line. Score was Salem 34-27 when 2's came in. Both 2's moved the ball, JF scored a TD and went for 2. Salem drove missed the FG at the end. JF is as good as last year it seems. Salem looked good running the ball and threw the ball pretty well too. Overall very encouraging for both teams.
