Honestly, if Sam McKeown thinks Michigan State is going to take a step back, they will.

The dude basically called Nebraska a 7 win team prior to last season, and he also thought the Spartans were the Class of the East a year ago.

His argument makes sense. He thinks MSU will have a year similar to 2012 again.

And yes, I'm in love with Sam McKewon.

Btw, he thinks Nebraska looks like a 10 win team this season.
Matt Schick had us at 7 wins last year too and damn if that didn't rustle my jimmies.

What's it matter. Didn't you hear? It'll be a successful season if NU just makes a bowl game this year.

I only care about Nebraska games....but my point is ..how can you determine who is the best team....based on what?

How can I, personally, determine which teams are the best?

I am confused with your point. Your original post said without preseason polls why would you watch any game or why a particular game was special.

I guess I would say name factors in quite a bit. Success from the previous season is also a factor. I have no desire to watch a top team blow out a smaller FCS team. I will watch LSU/ Wisconsin game even though I think Wisconsin finishes 7-5 and will be very average. So interregion games are usually interesting. But Boise St vs Washington, even if both are ranked, isn't all that interesting to me. As an example.

I understand what you are saying. But it's nice to know that highly ranked teams are playing. Gives more significance to the game for me. Drama, especially if there is an early upset. That team becomes a story.

Oh, and I was speaking of the CFP committee. Not you personally. Should have been more specific.
