Why do not the hiring authorities here study our history? The only Head Football Coaches who had any UNPRECEDENTED success here (accomplishing something that had not been previously done here ) AND more than one good season here, all had prior Head Coaching success at the FBS level: Dietzel, Carlen, Morrison, Holtz and Spurrier. None of them were fired for football reasons. This is a tough football job. You just can't roll the dice hoping you come up with a winner here.

I'll give it a shot -- Maybe because Beamer still has had more success than any of the individuals you mentioned above with a more difficult road along the way?
