Union VS North Duplin
I said after the East Columbus vs Union game that would probably be Unions last winnable game and that obviously still stands. Union doesn't have the size, speed or depth to keep up and North Duplin is a buzzsaw fighting for a conference championship. Expect this one to be over early.
North Duplin 50-8
Lakewood VS East Bladen
Lakewood currently holds the reigns when it comes to the Carolina 1A/2A conference with their big win over North Duplin earlier in the year but this week will be a real test for the leopards. East Bladen is a team I and many thought could win the conference at the beginning of the year and while they aren't completely out of that they know the job at hand if they still want a shot at that title. Lakewood has been playing good ball and their head coach will have them ready. I think East will be desperate for a win to stay alive in the conference.
East Bladen 35-28
Hobbton VS West Columbus
Hobbton is on fire and West Columbus is a road block in the way. The wildcats have surprised everyone since that week one blowout loss to the Kings of Sampson County over at Midway. Hobbton has taken care of business so far in the Carolina 1A/2A and the next two games being conference title contenders in North Duplin and Lakewood.... Hobbton also controls their own destiny and I am going to say it now I expect them to take the conference title home to Newton Grove.
Hobbton 48-12
Clinton VS East Duplin
We all got a little bit excited with Clintons thrilling win against whiteville earlier in the season but I think most have turned their head away from those dark horses again. A solid run and pass game for the dark horses but it ends right there. The Clinton run defense is nothing to hang ones hat on and the pass defense is mediocre at best. I expect East to run the ball up and down the field and to get creative with their passing game. East Duplin VS Pender for the East Central Conference Championship next week and I expect it to be a must watch.
East Duplin 48-22
Midway VS Rosewood
How about those Midway Raiders? Probably the best Midway team in the last 20 years and they are rolling. One of the biggest program wins in recent memory last week with the gritty win over a tough and physical Wallace rose hill football team. I think I might've been the only one to say Midway would take down those bulldogs last Friday night. Midway will roll in these next two games vs Rosewood and Goldsboro gearing up for a playoff run while keeping a close eye on that James Kenan vs Wallace game which is always a great competitive game.
Midway 60-6
