I've seen some mocks where he is mid-late 2nd round. What do people think he will do? Test and come back? Go if he's projected?
Have to find that floor general that can distribute and shoot it from different places on the floor.Last year the 46th pick signed a $2.6 million 2 year contract with half a million guaranteed. If he lights it up he may push earlier into the 2nd.
At this point I don't know why we wouldn’t just throw stupid money at him. His proven production is worth it. We waste so much money on football and get nothing out of it. Might be time to pour money into bball instead.
A lineup of:
Curtis
Berke
Frager
Sandfort
PG
With Jacobson and Essegian coming off the bench, very much excites me.
He would be stupid to go if he’s not projected in the first round. Contracts for second rounders are nowhere near what first round contracts. On the other hand IF he’s tired of college and doesn’t think he would be able to move up in the draft next year, maybe he stays in. A friends kid got drafted in the second out of CSU a few years back by the Celtics. He got stuck in Europe and eventually Israel because the Celtics owned his rights. Had no say for a long time in where he played.test and come back
maybe he's got another inch or 2 to grow yet?
absolute horseshit he wasn't unanimous 1st team all-b1g
would be on every b1g pre-season POY shortlist
Easy for me to say, but all we have to do is keep the core of Sandfort, Frager, Curtis, and Jacobson intact. I would think the money is there to find one new player.Have to find that floor general that can distribute and shoot it from different places on the floor.
Holy moly, Green would be awesome! I've been spending my time pining away for Bynum, I'd take either. I'm pretty excited thinking about who Hoiberg might snag in the portal.Huskers have 2 guards coming in next year who are both top 100 recruits (take that for what it is worth regarding the rankings). A shooting guard in Rice and a combo guard in Lanier.
I am also predicting Jasen Green transfers from Creighton to play his final year in Husker red. That gives some size and muscle for defense and rebounding, and a capable scoring option in the lane.
With these 3 newcomers, and retaining everyone else, we can match this year's performance.
I think this is big.
I completely forgot about Uggy because of little playing time this year. He could be a "poor man's" Reink Mast. If Sandfort and Frager return, realistically we could go 9 or 10-deep in the rotation (that's what she said). Of course, that would take a lot of NIL money and everyone stays.
PG = Lanier / Jacobsen
SG = Sandfort / Essegian
SF = Frager / Rice
PF = Berke / J. Green (if he transfers)
Big = Uggy / Curtis
Never know how a different lineup will gel, but that roster on paper would have some serious size and offensive firepower. I'm really high on Curtis.I completely forgot about Uggy because of little playing time this year. He could be a "poor man's" Reink Mast. I've been thinking that players will see what Mast, Sanford and Frager have been able to do in this system and players will want to be a part of it. We should see a couple decent transfers joining the fray.Holy moly, Green would be awesome! I've been spending my time pining away for Bynum, I'd take either. Are grad transfers still a thing?We should go all in with NIL for a top PG.
He may be, but could also be whether or not there is a “right fit” issue with personnel. Don’t know one way or another, just thinking out loud.I think people underestimate a freshman going through a 3 game rough patch, while ignoring everything up to that point. Haven't seen anything showing Frager isn't all in.
For sure. I don’t have any sources, just a gut feeling from the stuff I do know. Frager re-classified, then redshirted. Local kid. No one even notices if he's not 6th man of the year on a top 10 team. Spotlight is just magnified.He may be, but could also be whether or not there is a “right fit” issue with personnel.
