both of these teams are light years ahead of us. not even close.
Almost every team I’ve watched this year is ahead of us. I haven’t seen one high major team we look better than honestly.
We have no one remotely close to Anderson. Reminds me of the guards pearl and will Wade recruit.
both of these teams have the talent and energy as well as the media. here is what Kentucky has right now:
It's pretty sad just how much more athletic these teams (Arky and Texas Tech) are than us. They get up in you on defense and don't let you breath. We sag back and get blown up on every screen. Arkansas even with flaws plays hard as hell. Oh yeah and I've seen both coaches get up in theirs players asses over even small mistakes. Such a sad product this year has been after last year. I genuinely thought last year would be the least talented team Pope had.
We look like a bunch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints knocking doors asking for a donation.
Tech’s coach is another we should take a look at to replace Pope. He had a great team last year and was one possession from a final 4. Seems to really know how to get a tough squad together at a non powerhouse to boot.

Only half, but Penn State is beating Michigan State. Shows how far behind we really are. The same Penn State who Indiana just murdered btw and Lamar Wilkerson scored 42 on with 10 3’s. I’m sure State will come back to win but it’s sad we didn’t even compete in that game.

Kentucky is the opposite of that...180 degrees.
Toppin is the kind of player you spend 3-4 million on. Why doesn’t our staff seem to understand this? Sadly Arkansas is very fun to watch and Cal is doing exactly what we wanted him to do here. Ugh. They were even aggressive and had a great last 5 minutes of the game not holding the ball.
Toppin is good but man 40 something percent from the ft line is crazy .

What a difference a point guard makes. With Acuff Jr and Brown Jr., Louisville and Arkansas are dangerous. Theyll have a chance to beat anyone.
I hate to say it but, honestly, I agree with you. We are not a top-tier team so far.
Which is what we supposedly did to improve our team. Yet we went and got guys who don’t fit and can’t shoot. Either our staff can get who they actually want(which it appears they can’t) and then panic and get guys that don’t do anything they want to do.
Insane. That’s Ben Wallace territory except for he will go to the line more since he’s a much better offensive player .
This board just spent the last half-decade or so ripping Cal for "Killing player's confidence" and mocking his "GOOOOOOOOOO!".
I’m glad Cal is gone but man I’d love to see this type emotion from Pope once in a blue moon.
I do too, but let's not act like the fanbase didn't spend the last several years of his tenure here clowning on him for this sort of thing.

Winning changes everything. I thought the calm, laid back "All a part of the plan" demeanor from Pope was cool last season.
Because he would do this and then choke away games and then talk about going to watch Little House
Not arguing that. Was time for both parties to move on regardless of whether Pope was the right guy or not. Would be just our luck if he starts winning big again elsewhere, though.
I’d honestly love to see Pope show that passion.
