It's about 15 hours from me - I'm seriously considering leaving about 5pm today and getting down there - from the empty seats I saw yesterday I would think I could get in easy enough.
So fnnnn tempting - when I was 17 watching them piss it away to UNLV I certainly assumed there would be more chances to watch them on the big stage..... 30 years later, I probably should take the opportunity when it's there right?!?!

Last October we bought Music Man tix at Hancher.... Knowing that weekend would be elite 8 I jokingly said lets do the 2pm show just in case Iowa makes it to the Elite 8....
We're still going to the show but how do I focus and enjoy 76 trombones knowing we're going to win just a few hours later?

I think Ben has to put Bennett on wagler, kael on Boswell, coop on mirkavic, tavion on davis and cam on ivisic.
Tough assignments all the way around .especially for Bennett and Coop.
Mirkovic is a beast.
Wagler is lottery pick.
Alvaro,sage and Howard have to keep playing great to have a chance.

I remember the game well, I was already at the University. And I'm thinking about going too. Only 8 hours for me from OK, and I can stay with family tonight in east Dallas. Sooo tempting.
I am going to start looking for tickets ... NOW!
You should go! I was seriously contemplating it this morning and looking at airline tickets and hotels. Too much of a drive to not fly. By the time you add up all the costs for those things I decided it was too much to spend at this time. With you having an 8 hour drive and a place to stay I would definitely go if I were you!

Come hell or high water I will watch from the same sports bar I watched the first 3 games. I ain't changin' nuttin'.
So far have watched all three games with my Dad at his place. No reason to change that now.

Meredith Willson wrote the Iowa Fight Song, as you may know, so this looks like a great Hawkeye doubleheader.
BTW: My wife and I saw the Music Man at old Hancher decades ago, and toward the end when Harold Hill finally has to form a band, the Hawkeye Marching Band came rolling down the aisles from the back and playing the Iowa Fight Song. It was one of the very best theatrical moments I've ever experienced. I still get chills as I recall that performance. I hope you enjoy the show and another Iowa victory on the way to the Final Four.
And yet they only beat Iowa by six two months ago. This is a very different, much better Iowa team. And as some of us keep saying, sure, Illinois is very good, but Iowa already beat the defending national champions and #1 seed Florida in Tampa, so . . .
While I would have preferred Houston because they can have an offensive game like they did last night, we can still win this but again will take another effort like against Florida. They are big and talented and their bigs can stretch the floor much better than Florida. But hopefully we can be as efficient on offense as were last night and rebound like we did against Florida!
