Looks like they found her remains just outside of Lancaster. Sad ending. Hope they get all responsible parties.

Yeah, my wife has kept up with this pretty heavily. David Sparks was taken into custody for abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence... likely be adding murder to that wrap sheet as well.

Is David Sparks one of the men she left the bar with?

Hopefully this wraps things up.

Sounds like it. An occupant of the same house they searched when she went missing, and where Sparks evidently lives now, notified authorities through their attorney that there was a foul smell coming from the property. To me it sounds like one of the 3 men rolled on Sparks. Guess we will see soon enough.

I know little about real police processes, but it seems UNREAL how poorly the police handled this and how long it took. And they needed a slam dunk tip to do it. 6 months of it seeming fairly obvious who was responsible and all they ever said was "we talked to them and they said she left on foot". Ok. And they searched this place/area seemingly multiple times. The general handling of this seems shady as hell.

It had to be a shallow grave to be smelling, so when it was searched there was probably disturbed ground or not even buried. However it is possible that the body was recently moved to Perkins Ln since that had already been searched multiple times. Killers thought this place was cleared and a good spot, that they allowed a smell indicates they’re likely stupid.

And why would the kid move it literally to his backyard? That doesnt add up at all. So either the police somehow missed a fresh buried grave that they combed through right when it would have been brand new, or it was moved there, which makes zero sense, as the killers moved a dead body literally to their house, when there are endless fields elsewhere they could have put it?

Even the dad who reported the smell. He had his attorney report it. Did he not notice the dug up earth? Why did he suspect a bad smell on farm land was a dead human body? You would presume he would, as he had his attorney call the police about a smell and the FBI immediately descended, and arrested not the property owner, but the son?

None of it makes any F'n sense at all . Feels like a netflix show in a couple years

I think she was moved there. Maybe not really recently but in the spring. You have to remember, she went missing in January so that ground then had to have been frozen. I would have to have been very difficult to bury her then without the use of some heavy equipment. I agree with those above. burying a body on your own property seems incredibly stupid. I think Lesson 1 in how to get away with murder is do not dispose of the body on your own property.

On a side note, the question now is was she murdered or did she do something like OD and the guys panicked? I tend to think she was murdered. Probably after being sexually assaulted or something. Autopsy report will tell us more I am sure.

There was a weird case in Louisville almost a decade ago that made national headlines. Here's one of the many local stories about it:
https://www.wdrb.com/news/new-detai...cle_99476fed-f309-5338-8d53-daa8430749d0.html

Summation: 2 dudes invite third dude over for some drugs and fun. Third dude ends up dead and is buried in the basement. He isn't found until One dude turns in the other dude for murder because of an argument they were having.

Here's the shocking twist: The dude that tipped off the police was actually the murderer and ended up sentenced to life in prison. They never would have been found out if they hadn't ratted on themselves.

I guess a big difference is no one seemed to care that the victim ended up dead.

Interested about when the full details and story come out.

Wouldnt a body be fully decomposed by 6 months? Did they keep her prisoner. Or left then one of them brought her back?

Glad they found her.

Who knows what happened. This is why we need Topix back.

Remember the case about a girl in Berea (I think) that went missing? She was partying with some people at an old farm house that was later burned down. Whatever happened to that?

Topix was great. Insane how much you could learn through that site.

We’ll never know the whole truth. But at least the families can have some closure.

Just relax and wait a year or two. ID Discovery will tell exactly how it all went down. Horrible re-enactments and all.

I live in Danville. Don’t know if you remember or heard about the triple homicide at Gold Pawn a few years back, but they did an episode about it.

The police drove their cars down old dirt and gravel roads. Everything was more of a county vibe rather than a small city. You’d thought Danville was locates on a back road in Garrard County.

And that’s just the setting and not touching on the horrible acting.

Yeah they did the same for the Ann Branson murder in Madisonville years back. What is weird is i worked with her murderer Russell Winstead and was what you would call friends. Very few scenes actually of Madisonville and actors looked nothing like the actual people involved. Went to school with the Assistant prosecuting attorney, knew her well, see married a good friend of mine, Ryan.

You’d be hard pressed to find a gravel much less a dirt road that wasn’t somebody’s driveway in Garrard. Shows don’t know how to convey rural unless they take asphalt and teeth away.

What, Boyle County doesn't have back roads? Oh, I forgot, snobbish little Danville doesn't acknowledge that Boyle County actually exists.

lol, my kids go to Boyle County. I actually prefer the county. But the homicide happened in the heart of Danville. Not a backroad of nothing but dirt and gravel for miles.

More of a comment on how these shows butcher what actually happened, and also screw up the setting.

Well, looks like he or they killed her, if all of this is true.

Found her in a 19” grave. Rolled up in a rug with multiple trash bags; her hands and feet were bound by tape they found at Price’s house.

Interesting ..I'm really interested to hear how it all went down. Are they just settling that the other 2 guys just left?

Sounds like it’s still up in the air. Sounds like there were some accomplices, but they’re waiting to release the info.

^^^ that’s from my wife who has kept up with this case way more than I have.
