UGA is in a tough spot. They have a consistent winner with Richt, but he is not an elite coach and they will never win a NC with him there.

Do you give up a solid program to go after an elite program when a step back with your next hire suddenly makes you Arkansas or Kentucky?

I don't envy that AD.

He's a proven winner and a really good man (from everything I've ever read or heard about him). Has he had trouble getting over the top at UGA? Sure but he generally is very competitive without any real down years.
