"Putz" means "plaster" in German. Putzmeister is a major manufacturer of concrete pumps. Their products were used in the process to entomb the nuclear reactors of Chernobyl and Fukushima.
More popularly used to fill Giordano’s stuffed pizza.

In central Illinois, there is a bus line called Illini Swallow. First time I saw it, I thought it was an evaluation of their football team.

Weird how certain German words have become insults - the aforementioned putz and also schmuck (jewelry) via Yiddish use of them as slang for ‘penis’.

Except that in German, neither are slang for penis, except to the extent that they've infiltrated back because of their use in English. Common vulgarities are the familiar "schwantz" (tail) or "stange" (rod). The anatomical word for penis in German is (wait for it), "penis."

Right - was tying to say putz and schmuck are not insults in German, but they are in Yiddish. My first trip to Germany I saw ‘Schmucker’ over a store and was like, WTF?

German has some great words.

My favorite insult is Arschgeige, aka A$$ violin.

Kummelspeck: grief bacon, which is the weight that you gain from emotional eating.

Kabelsalat: cable salad, when your computer, etc. cables get tangled into a mess.

Streichholz: stroking wood, a match

Fußhupe: foot horn, a small dog

verschlimmbessern: a combination of verschlimmern (to make worse) and verbessern (to improve), it basically means when you made something worse while trying to make it better

Chew on this for a moment......View attachment 334259

That is nonsense; sorry. Freedom isn’t exclusive to the USA nor are militaries and food/supplies. People like to think this but it’s just not true. Anyone who has spent anytime living abroad and/or serving in the military (especially at NATO bases) knows this. The problem is most folks who believe America is the only country with freedom haven’t been to the 100+ others who have it and do it better.

I have seen that clip a number of times and it's just some fine writing and acting.

Reminds me of Herr Langer (German Teacher (Teacher exchange) He told us that if in doubt, say the English word with a German accent. -LOL Wish that I would have kept studying the language.

could you define what you mean by better?? More "free" stuff, better elections, lower cost of living, higher salaries, more jobs??

Prioritizing health and safety of citizens and communities as a whole over arbitrary individual rights, especially with regard to owning firearms. Better access to quality education and healthcare, more vacations/family time, less poverty, etc.

To where will you move? There are no homes available in Tuscany.

Its a Mack Brand truck. I helped design the wiring harness for the Putz.....
Mack Trucks is a well-known brand in the trucking industry, and designing a wiring harness for one of their vehicles is certainly an impressive accomplishment. Wiring harnesses play a crucial role in transmitting electrical signals and power throughout the vehicle, so your work must have been instrumental in ensuring the proper functioning of the truck's electrical system.
