While I totally agree (I used to loathe the Orange Bowl crapfest) this is all on the NFL. They get ratings and that is all they care about. If they get all the family to tune in instead of just the males then they win. You can just turn to ESPN at halftime and you won't be bothered. Lucky for me I DVR'd the game and fast-forwarded over all that crap.

I don't think they are going to get ozzy or angus,,, even though they have a degenerate tribute to the black panthers.

You know, that's very true. I don't hate Coldplay. They just bore me. It's like really really watered down Radiohead.

And watching Beyonce dance in those 80s fashion outfits just makes me chuckle.

As most would expect, I generally don't have much use for the halftime shows. I do have two that I remember pretty well. I liked the one where Tom Petty played, and the arrow stage pierced the heart stage. I thought that was very cool. And anytime Diana Ross graces the stage, it's a special event. Even if it was a medley. Those are really the only two I have a somewhat favorable recollection of.

Was not impressed with her homage to the black panther party. Akin to someone getting up in a white sheet. But she was applauded. Double standards in this country. What a mess.

Did you catch the "justice for (insert guy who was holding a large knife and wouldn't drop it here) " sign? I think I've had about enough of Beyoncé, she needs to go away, or at least stay far far away from the SB.

I think you are missing my point. Is there outrage when brunettes die their hair blonde? After all, they are not proud of their brunette heritage. :rolleyes:

Beyonce just makes me chuckle when I watch her perform. But that holds true for all choreographed dancers. From her Lynda Carter Wonder Women-esque 70s outfits, to her gyrating, it's just comical to me. Gyrating and grinding when dancing is sooo not my scene. She's a nice looking lady, but she's like a glorified lap dancer.

Make that Jackson 4 nostrils. Michael screwed his looks up bad. The guy looked so much better without any work done. He looked like an actual guy on the cover of Off the Wall. And he looked healthy. He should have left things alone.

Don't overthink it. It's a halftime show. It's supposed to be more spectacle than anything else. If there happens to be good music with that, than that's just a bonus.

Coldplay- alright band, but having them play superbowl halftime is like having tommy armstrong run a pass pro offense. square peg - round hole.
Bruno Mars- not bad singer, much more the entertainer. fine by me.
Beyonce- meh. feel like its more of the same from her honestly. never been a fan of her team's choreography.
