In-state kid from Cardinal Newman has been committed for 6 months. They let him know less than 12 hours from him signing that they were going in another direction. Harsh.

Not a good start for the new staff with in-state high school staffs. Guess word is already spreading among the high school programs.

On the other hand, a kid can pull a signing day flip and leave a college program hanging out to dry.

I think the key here is who offered him. If the old staff offered him, then I don't think the new staff should be held to that standard. With Buddy going out, players and coaches should have been on notice that some things could change. Hate it for the kid though, but it's not the first time a kid has been strung along in recruiting. It will happen more with high school kids now that the portal is such a big part of the recruiting landscape.
