Well… he’s right. It was evident things were sort of on cruise control for various stretches of the game. And bench players played ALOT of minutes. I haven't seen a box score, but I’m guessing Oweh didn’t play any more than 25 minutes, maybe?
EDIT: Oweh, our preseason SEC Player Of The Year, only played 16 minutes and 32 seconds.
We fairly handily beat a very highly regarded team without our starting PG, without our eventual starting (probably?) center, and with our otherwise best player only logging supporting role minutes.
I think Purdue is a bit overrated in the pre-season, but UK was pretty impressive for a debut exhibition game and the circumstances.

He’s right. It’s still an exhibition game so you aren’t going at it wide open or showing everything you got. Same case as Purdue. But it’s still a great win at the end of the. Day
I doubt Purdue was going 100% but they were playing to win. And we ran them to ground.
I trust Pope a whole lot more than the last guy to take this team where it should go.
