Penn st Rutgers Michigan Minnesota Indiana Illinois Wisconsin all released today as well. Maryland did the big 10 schedule
With the number of returning injuries on this team I have to think the lighter start to the season is a good thing. Health is going to be key to a decent trophy finish this seasonLooks like the team is taking the opposite approach of last year and taking the early season light and easy
Book the hotel now. You can always cancel the reservation. I would guess that Iowa is sending their full team.Soldier Salute is on the schedule, so does that mean Iowa's starting line-up will wrestle it this year? Last year, Soldier Salute was a bust with the Iowa women not wrestling and the men's team wrestling their backups. How are we to know whether we should buy tickets and get hotel reservations for soldier salute?
Zero chance we lose to Okie State 12-1 or 13-0I’m predicting an 11-2 dual record. That includes two barn burners vs Nebby and tOSU. Blow out losses to PSU and Okie St.
I agree we won’t lose to Okie St by scores of 12-1 or 13-0. But seriously take a look at their roster, it’s going to be a blood bath.Zero chance we lose to Okie State 12-1 or 13-0
PSU fans have the same gripe. All that matters is March is really setting in.Least excited I’ve been for a season in a long time. Apathy is starting to kick in.
Hope you’re right my friend. I’d take 11-2 and a 3rd place NCAA finish with our schedule and the current team.I’m predicting an 11-2 dual record. That includes two barn burners vs Nebby and tOSU. Blow out losses to PSU and Okie St.
It's the absolute biggest reason I am so very much for a true Dual Meet National Championship. When literally ALL that matters is the very last tournament of the season, there just isn't much incentive to go hard at any other competitions. If not for Carver drawing so many people, you would probably see even more "protection" of wrestlers from Iowa throughout the season. Other than PSU and maybe OkState, there simply isn't a fanbase strong enough for any other teams to cater to. Hell, even PSU does as much as they can to keep a very "light" load, but they are simply so stacked that they can still provide a great time for fans at home without taking too much risk....PSU fans have the same gripe. le sigh.

Well you won't have the Cubs to kick around any more so you might as well take it out on the wrestling team.Least excited I’ve been for a season in a long time. Apathy is starting to kick in.
Another in a line of first world problems.PSU fans have the same gripe. All that matters is March is really setting in.
le sigh.
Not really.Another in a line of first world problems.
My comment reflected the fact that in season matches don't matter to PSU fans and they are now only interested in the finals. Wasn't really all that deep of a statement. Not really.
Acting like programs that request our dollars for tickets, fundraising, etc, don't have a duty to reciprocate is nihilism at its finest. It matters. They certainly aren't giving tickets out for free.
Their schedule isn't usually packed with good duals outside of the conference schedule. My comment reflected the fact that in season matches don't matter to PSU fans and they are now only interested in the finals. Wasn't really all that deep of a statement.
Gotcha. my bad.My comment reflected the fact that in season matches don't matter to PSU fans and they are now only interested in the finals. Wasn't really all that deep of a statement.
Agreed, that would be a great team season, which would also mean some great individual results at NCAAs to accomplish a 3rd place finish for the Hawks. Right now PSU and OSU are tier one, with about 5 teams in tier 2 battling for 3rd/4th if you are being realistic. Good isn't good enough anymore, you need to be great to hang with the top dogs anymore.Hope you’re right my friend. I’d take 11-2 and a 3rd place NCAA finish with our schedule and the current team.
I don't see any way Iowa doesn't send starters unless someone has injury. I don't know if it is happening but would be so good if the women were back in. The women had got top teams with starters in past.Book the hotel now. You can always cancel the reservation. I would guess that Iowa is sending their full team.
Bellarmine might me be light and easy. Score might not reflect it but Pitt and UNI will be competitive for sure. ISU and Iowa is going to be great matchup, could go either way. SS salute will of course depend on which schools send who. Overall I see a good preseason, not NDI type preseason but good none the less..bLooks like the team is taking the opposite approach of last year and taking the early season light and easy
UNI is terrible this yearI don't see any way Iowa doesn't send starters unless someone has injury. I don't know if it is happening but would be so good if the women were back in. The women had got top teams with starters in past.

Im not expecting a close dual score but Schwab will field a decent team that will fight at home.UNI is terrible this year
The starting lineup will be there, minus injuries, which will always happen in this program.Soldier Salute is on the schedule, so does that mean Iowa's starting line-up will wrestle it this year? That Sunday Sparty dual might be the lowest attended home dual since pre-Spencer.The starting lineup will be there, minus injuries, which will always happen in this program.
I can’t remember the last time we had this many home duals on a Sunday. Hopefully we have some good attendance for those meets.
