we couldn’t even beat Lafayette!!!
Your basically assuming there that if we played someone better than Lafayette we would’ve just lost “worse”. It didn’t go down that way - we followed up with a road loss that wasn’t worse at UMass and beat Clemson.

Going back to my previous examples, Lehigh (last year), Bryant (2019-20), Drexel (2019-20) W vs L were literally the difference of a few plays. Are you suggesting that because @UMass and St Bonnie’s (neutral) were a little harder paper games that was the difference in winning vs. losing? Somehow I really doubt that. Sometimes it’s just hard to keep your team from getting distracted playing these kinds of games repeatedly early.

RU fans have a terrible defeatist attitude by preferring to schedule down in order to make the tournament. Just from an entertainment viewpoint your non-conference has to be the most boring in the Big Ten and in the top 5 nationally. How about a decent Thanksgiving tournament and at least 5 other D-1 Jersey schools and maybe a home/home with a Philly school not named Villanova.

First, the fans don't make the schedule. Second, at least 90 percent of the fans want a reschedule upgrade I'd say. So, take a hike.

Didn’t read the entire thread, are we actually scheduling Gonzaga or is that just a suggestion?

The short answer is we have no idea who we’re playing.

Does anyone know when the ACC challenge games get announced? Is it safe to assume we’re locked into a road game since we were home last year?

Rutgers doesn't “need” to schedule OOC games like Big East teams do. The Big Ten schedule is harder according to every metric known to man.
