One analyst stated that sooner or later, there would be 4 conferences: north, south, Midwest, far west.

Could be this is steps that way.

You wonder what else could come of this. What would be best for the NCAA overall is some sort of NEW conference with the remaining Big 12 and PAC 12 teams to create some sort of super conference out west.

USC, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Utah

Oklahoma St., TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Houston


Sadly, programs like Cal, Arizona State, Washington State, Oregon State, and Utah get left out, but the PAC12 is dead and the Big 12 too. Bold moves is what can save a conference. That would be a strong 16 team league. It would trim some fat.

I hope the Big12 survives by adding a couple of teams on their own. At least long enough for Texas and Oklahoma to have to pay 100’s of millions of dollars in GOR fees.
