You get saluted Sir.

Pauls Valley High School Principal Kirk Moore is being called a hero after getting shot while stopping a school shooter. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Victor Hawkins, was a former student who said he wanted to shoot up the school “like the Columbine shooters did.” While taking down the shooter, Moore was shot in the leg. He is expected to recover and says he is looking forward to returning to work as soon as possible. "I look forward to returning to work as soon as possible so that I may continue my life’s work educating the next generation of Oklahoma leaders. Until then, my thoughts are with our outstanding students, safe today in the arms of their families and friends," he said. Hero!

Kudos to that guy...fearless in the face of fire. What I can't understand though, is why schools don't have armed officers with metal detectors out front? That nut just walked into that school unchecked, unchallenged, and uncontested! Seems to me the least we can do is put up metal detectors with armed guards at the entrances just like they do in most county Courthouses? Hell even in my Church we have armed Deacons at the entrances of the Sanctuary, and in the Foyer! We have to, because of all the athiest crazies lurking out there!

I personally favor arming all school teachers too, in case the nut jobs shoot up the armed guards before finding their way to kids in the classrooms. In my county here in Georgia, we have traffic police in front of every school, to keep cars moving and catch speeders through school zones. Why don't we have armed police also positioned at all school entrances and on campuses where these nut jobs always go to cause mayhem?

I don't know what day it was exactly. Does it make it less impressive to you if it was?
Did you see the coward who ran away after that brave Principal attacked the shooter? What a wuss! Why didn't he at least help the Principal restrain that wacko? No, instead he ran off like a little girl. :cautious:

That might of been a student and he might of done what the Principal told him? There was someone else who helped though that looked like staff age.

Well Thank God that Principal didn't hesitate! We need more folks like that!

I would prefer an armed good guy deal with that. But the Principal did a very brave and unselfish thing. I'll give credit for it as he deserves praise regardless how it got to that point.

Most school districts have enough money in their budgets to hire private armed Security...either uniformed or undercover. Seems to me almost criminal we're hardly spending anything to protect our most precious resources...our kids!

I not sure they have the budget but funds are distributed to local police. But it should be a priority.

Just surprised you didn’t post it closer to the day when it happened. It was impressive

I would recommend he not make a habit out of doing that way but he took action to protect his students and for that I respect.

This is a fake story. I have been told we need firearms to protect us from bad people with firearms so this can't be true.

Perhaps this principal has a little more brass than the posters here.

9 times out of 10 that gets you killed. But if that's how you want everyone to deal with armed shitheads NYC is hiring Social Workers to replace Police.

According to OPD, officers immediately began to approach Guzman, who had the 3-year-old boy in the seat of the shopping cart.

After multiple commands to drop the knife, Guzman began to cut the boy. The officers then both fired their patrol weapons into Guzman.

Immediately after the shooting, the boy’s guardian, along with a bystander, were able to remove the child from the cart and render aid. The boy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Also after the shooting, officers attempted life-saving measures on Guzman, but she was declared dead at the scene.

OPD says surveillance video showed Guzman shoplifted a large kitchen knife, approached the guardian and the child forced the guardian to walk in front of the cart while Guzman took control of the cart and directed both of them to the parking lot.
