Schooner video shown in Waco?

I just read where Baylor showed the video of the Sooner Schooner tipping over several times during the game on their jumbotron and the Baylor fans cheered every time. For anyone who went to the game, can you verify if this happened or not?

If true, I think it shows an incredible lack of good sportsmanship and irresponsible disregard for the well-being of those who were thrown off the Schooner. I'm not surprised that Baylor would do something so inappropriate, considering their track record for administrative responsibility and accountability in recent years. If the conference officials can come down on programs, coaches and players for throwing "horns down" because it's "poor sportsmanship,' then why isn't the league saying anything about Baylor's poor sportsmanship on Saturday night?

Yep. I wouldn't have been surprised to see that at Tech or maybe if we ever played in Austin. But in Waco, it surprised me a little. Baylor is as corrupt as it comes at the university level. Appallingly so. But they usually do it in the shadows.

To make that a seeming putdown of OU football and fans, which seemed to be the theme, on their video board seemed even below Baylor.

Guess not.

Makes me wonder if the Sooner Schooner accident had resulted in someone getting seriously injured or killed if the Baylor fans would cheer that as well, not because they represent Baylor, but because it would be so typical of the sports fans of today.

Meh. No big deal. I can guarantee you this... Saturday night, in the intro video, they’ll be showing the wheels coming off Baylor and crashing and burning, and the Sooner crowd will cheer wildly.

Agree with Schoonerman times 1000.

I'm just glad nobody was crippled or killed because they'd have really had a blast with that. Couldn't have happened to a sleazier group than the school that gave us rapegate, murdergate, etc. I'd hate to think what they'd do if they weren't the conference's private Christian university.

Karma is a *****.

CT, As far as next year's game at West Point, I'm torn.

I have a 45th reunion in 2021 so I didn't intend to go to New York in consecutive years. However, my sons and their wives (who've never been to the academy and want me to give the "full tour" e.g. history, my experiences, etc.) plan to go so I'm getting a serious amount of "encouragement" to attend.

My other major reservation is I don't know how I'm going to be able to come up with eight tickets (including grandkids) for a game in a stadium that only holds about 40k.

That said, I'd say it's about 75/25 that I'll be there. Once I decide one way or the other, I'll let you know. Certainly would like to do a face to face with you if we could.

Seeing the Schooner accident at pretty close range, the gal I though was going to get pinned or impacted. Somehow she escaped certain injury. Then there is the Baylor crowd. Supporting a football coach that had obvious chicken daddy intent. Then clamming up when truth came out. Bunch of ball lickers. No surprise they lack respect and decency. If their Coach signed off on that, he vaults to my most hated Big 12 Coach...right there with Tom Herman. It’s classless.

Pretty low class, but it makes coming back from a 4 possession..........FOUR POSSESSION........deficit all that much sweeter.

Was at the game...It may not be a coincidence that OU started playing better after this was shown over an over during a time out. If OU plays Baylor again in the Big 12 championship game let it be known as "win one for the schooner"

I have already purchased airfare to NYC for our game with Army. Do not wait to long.
For those of you going there are ferry boats and Yachts that depart from NYC to Army games and cruise up the Hudson river to West Point.
The New York Yankees are playing several games at home during this week
