We are ok on defense, still have some kids out, Turner does a solid job with the kids, hard to say he’s a bad coach. We may struggle with Ashe and Elkin on defense, but neither one of them will stop Morrison either

I was thinking that...lol our defense is actually pretty decent it's our offense which has been bad this season I wonder how we scored.

That's insane. Good for Alleghany. That's exciting and something memorable for those kids to talk about for years.
I know and my dumbass didn't go...I swear we couldn't get a 1st down vs ashe last week...looked worse we have all season.
I wasn’t either, had a bad feeling when they marched the opening drive down the field only running 1 play, I thought we may be in trouble, but give NW credit the were very physical on offense. They lined up and we knew what was coming and just couldn’t stop them. If they had just stayed with their run game all night not so sure we would have gotten out of their with a win.
fYI according to maxpreps stats we ran the ball 30 times for 165 yards and threw 7 passes completing 2. 1 for 35 yrs touchdown and 1 for 20 yards.
Put the Rams defense to sleep and hit them while asleep. I bet the possession arrow was heavy toward Alleghany. Slow methodical ball control offense is what it takes sometimes. The other team never has the chance to establish their game plan.
Starmount is regressing each week. They have some daddy ball issues that have leaked over from the baseball program and taken root in football. They are about as tough as wet 1-ply. Some of the “star” players are ready for basketball season.
It’s not like one kid is getting to play even though a different kid is more talented. It is more of an accountability problem. There isn’t always a consequence for poor effort, attitude or performance.
Congrats to Alleghany. KW23, it looks like the Trojans tied up possession with ball control offense, threw it just enough to keep the Rams honest, and played stingy “bend but don’t break” defense. I know that Starmount had at least two turnovers, one interception and one fumble which was late in the game during a goal line stand.
Interesting alignments offensively in the 2nd half. Not the normal Tarboro T, Hulk smash!!
