McDowell and Mitchell scoreless at the end of 1. McDowell had it down to the Mitchell 10 but failed to score.

I’m not sure if that says more about Mitchell or McDowell honestly. Historically Mitchell does not struggle with McDowell. Mitchell played Latin fairly well last week, defensively anyways. So far the defense has traveled again, but the offense appears to be pretty stagnant this season so far however.

Salisbury ia no longer playing in 1A/2A ball with 1000 kids. They are actually playing teams equal in roster, size and speed. I knew this was coming and hate it for the kids. All those Fridays they ran the score up on much lesser opponents the last realignment is biting them in the butt now.

It hasn't helped them that their main feeder middle school was rebuilt and the kids that are at Salisbury now have been spread across multiple middle schools which haven't had great programs from my understanding

Muffed 2 punts with 1 leading to a TO and a couple of pointless penalties on some big offensive plays. Also dropped an interception.

12-0 Avery 9:56 left in 4th with Vikings driving. Injury timeout with Nic Daniels suffering a gruesome leg injury below the knee after picking up a 1st down. They twisted him up on the ground. Looks like a potential compound fracture. Huge blow to the Vikings for the rest of the season and potentially for basketball season as well. Hate to see that for any kid, but especially a senior.
