I browse a lot of teams' boards across the 3 networks.

To me it seems that Rivals has the least active boards.

There are plenty of Scout boards with a lot of fan traffic.

Of the schools I have seen that have a site on Rivals, Scout and 247 usually only one of the 3 is strong and the other two have slow traffic. I would say this is the most popular UK board while Scouts Louisville board see the most traffic of the Louisville boards.

247 traffic has dropped a lot from where it was two years ago. I like the mods over there and there are posters over there that I respect. However you can tell by the volume of posts that Rivals is tops for UK.

I almost never went to the Scout board unless someone provided a link, which wasn't very often. From my point of view they won't be missed.

Jody Demling at Scout has a very active board, but he also seems to have interests in radio. I wonder if a site like that will attempt to stand alone. How much material is generated from Jody and how much is from the network?

JDrum seems to have promoted much more video these past few months. Traffic on the message boards seems close to non-existent. His player and coach videos are good watches and worth visits to the site or via Facebook.

UK's Scout site was never appealling. I like Drummond and his writing, he'll get picked up by someone for sure.

For all those always asking about Wildcat Don, it looks like he's on the Scout board

I used to visit 247 , but the VIP posts drive me nuts . You'll be reading a thread and then there will be posts from VIP's that people can't read so it's a thread killer . They may think it will get more people to go premium, but it only causes me to not even click on the site .

I think if the truth were told, all of the various networks are probably struggling to some degree. It is just hard to get people to pay significant amounts of money in order to find out recruiting news that they will get for free a couple hours later.

Didn't you just post the opposite in your original post?

I feel the same way.

Yeah, that didn't sound right. LOL

It seems as though Rivals and 247 have more modern looking websites with better features. Scout seems like it's stuck in the early 2000s.

I would say that 247 has the best features, with things like the class calculator and crystal ball.

But as far as the message boards, Scout does have some very active ones. But I think even a lot of those are dying off.

I know the Duke Scout basketball board just lost their owners to 247. That Duke BB board is now completely unmoderated.

The Indiana Scout basketball board used to be very active, and it's a ghost town now.

Exactly. I've tried the premium content off and on for years and never did I feel like I was getting anything of value. You get someone else's opinion about what some 18 yr might decide...with the emphasis on "might". Until it happens it's all rumor and their are plenty of those to be had for free.

I have won the Stupid Underdog Picks for the past two years on Jdrums / scout boards. E mail him back and forth about paying off on the gift cards. The winners will collect gift cards from places like Amazon , Target, Best Buy ETC!!!!!!!!, so I placed an emphasis on getting my picks in on their board.........called my lady from the Michigan vs. Indiana game b/c neither rivals or scout allowed me to access by iPhone, so for business purposes I chose to pick Vandy over Ole Miss,....attempted to pick same thing on here, 9.5 would have had me 1 or 2 points off the lead.......... No biggie b/c if I were Old Red I wouldn't believe me either, but there s only one Greasy Creak Mafia and if you check Scout boards he's winning by a large margin over there with lots of the same picks here.

Rivals SUP has more bragging rights, but scout paid so as a business decision I put in solid picks there first. Yet kept wondering why Jdrum and scout never paid me.....this,would,explain why. However Jeff Drummond told me yesterday he'd get them in the mail and he sure seems like a sincere person. Been reading his articles ever since the web began for myself.

Told him I'd expect to get conned by a UL site but not from Kentucky affiliated company. UK over UL won good off shore for us , but reading the UL fans squirm was better than the $$$$. Jeff told me the check was in the mail so maybe their, trying to right the ship.

Jeff Drummond should go to KSR. I'm sure Matt Jones could use him for recruiting pieces.

I haven't visited scouts website in probably 6 or 7 years, it's a ghost town over there. Never visited 247, just wasn't ever appealing to me. I guess I'm a rivals guy.

It would be a shame if scout folded. The Louisville fans primarily stay over there in their own little world. In ghost busters terms I think of scout as a containment field.

The only thing I like about scout is when they list the strengths and weaknesses of players. Rivals and 247 is so much better but I wish the would consider something like that.
