Offensive coordinator didn't help none either.....team played hard....proud of them.

These officials called 3 total penalties. For whatever reason they chose a "free market" style of officiating. It is what it is. No malfeasance... you could make the argument that there was some incompetence but personally I'd rather the officials aim on the side of less penalties.
Just to be clear I did think it was pass interference. What are you going to do though. We'll get those guys soon. IMO the trajectory of our program suggests that they will hate to face us soon. On to OSU.

They may have cost us a shot at a national championsnhip. You are paid to officiate for a reason. These guys did not officiate. They decided to rewrite the rule book.
They didn't cost us a chance at a national championship. If we beat OSU next week feel free to run this in my face but that is quite unlikely IMO.
Btw if we win out...we're still going to the playoffs. Not going to happen but we would be in IMO.
The no call PI on Westy was criminal. Totally decided the game by ignoring it. Fing screw job
Do you really think we'll be able to go in there and hang with Ohio State? The kids probably got so up for this Wisconsin game that I'm worried for next week's game. This is a devastating loss, not only because of the way it ended, but because of the opportunity we had to shut the haters up just got completely stolen from us. That and you know Ohio State wants to come out and make a statement the remainder of their schedule. I really hope I'm wrong but this game had to have taken an emotional toll on the players.
I have more faith in our players than that.
tOSU is not capable of making a statement - as proven by NW. Will be a dog fight next week.

All we had to do was score 7 in OT and win the game. I love our players. But when the coaches bring in a cold Wilbon after one Newby run, I feel like something is off. The playcalling had a big hand in why we lost. Tommy wasn't the most accurate, sure. But why did we go away from the screens and QB runs when they were working?
I'm tired of douchebags like you thinking I'm against this team for whatever reason. So sorry I'm questioning the playcalling and decision-making by the coaches and why I felt they had a huge impact on the game. Forgive me please, kool aid drinker.
If we beat OSU and win out the conference championship game against MIch would be for the right to be in the playoffs. I have little doubt of that.
We had chances before time ran out in regulation to take shots down the field...baaad time to clam up
I love the players. Too bad they have to follow some questionable coaching calls and decisions.
Yeah that play where he told Tommy to throw it right to Wisconsin was terrible, and the plays where he told the line to miss their blocks and only get 1 yard.

They don't understand the game at a strategic level, and like to make simple claims, blah blah bad play calls.

I think the players played well enough to win. However the 4 deep balls at ignorant times and the handoff in OT that hasnt worked all game were perhaps the dumbest play calls of all time. no reason to go deep before the end of regulation and no reason to go for the endzone in OT. you need 8 yards not 25.
To say the refs could have cost us the national championship is just plain ignorant. Refs let both teams play and kept their flags where they belong. Hell, Gerry could have had 2 taunting penalties that they didnt call as well.

What about the blatant and clear PI that was never called against Watt blasting Gerry in OT?
Good ol #42 was on offense that play and blasted Gerry and it was never called. Even the commentators said something about it. That's 15 yards back and they don't score if called and we had success on then in the RZ

Our celebration also knocked down their kicker after he missed the FG and I was waiting for a flag on that one.
I thought the same thing, just waiting for that flag to come out. Not too many penalties by either team, guess the refs made up their minds they weren't going to get too involved.
