I think they forgot the national recruit called Landon Young..Bama wanted him as bad as Wills and I'd take a future NFL LT over Harris and Elam considering what we've seen so far

We are doing fine with our in-state national recruits, considering where the program has been on the field until recently. It is easy for lazy, ignorant sportswriters and recruiting pundits to keep uttering the same old tired clichés, until they look up at kick-off of the Governor's Cup and realize we are 8-3 and playing to finish off "The Dream" for the Birds.

That was my thought as well.

In the end, I would be willing to bet that Young will be the best of all of the recent Kentucky kids.

He'll almost certainly have the most lucrative contract...the kid is prototype blindside NFL OT.

My hunch is that he is more likely to go to Michigan or Notre Dame than Bama. Bama wants him at OG per an article that came out a few weeks ago. He obviously wants to play OT. This would explain the delay in making his supposed commitment to Bama public.

If he were a defensive lineman It would bother me a lot more . Ryan Lemmond is friends with his family and he's been saying its Alabama for months . I'd also like to add , unlike Harris , I have no qualms about how this kid and his family have handled his recruitment .

I'll say the same thing about Wills that I said about about Harris at this point of his recruitment, if he was coming to Kentucky he would have already committed. Would I like to get Wills, sure, but our OL seems to be in very good shape with plenty of talented young players in the wings, so good luck to Wills whoever he choses, we'll be just fine.

Elam didn't announce until signing day.

Point being, what you say isn't necessarily true. Although, I'd be surprised in this case if Wills picks UK. Think he's more likely to go to Mich or ND, if not Bama.

Landon Young committed to UK as a sophomore and had been a fixture around the program ever since his commitment and never really wavered on that commitment. Wills has never committed to UK and has never let UK to feel as if they were the favorite for his services. UK may or may not get Wills but his recruitment is in no way similar to that of Young.

It will be great if he stays home. If he does not, I don't think the training center falls into a sinkhole.
Me either, but with the 60% level it sure looks like it isn't over and our OL performance is probably the biggest shocker in the country...so JEDRICK COME BE A WILDCAT AND BE A "STATE" HERO and not just another ho hum player!!!!!!!:football::football::boxing::boxing:[banana][banana]

Yes. He knows the family and says he's been committed to Bama for months. This is Damien Harris 2.0. Stoops needs to move on.

Let me ask this,is Lemons friends with the family(has known for years)or has he talked to the family recruiting wise.Big difference.

He isn't a friend of the family if offering the public information he obtained in the confidence of friendship. If he is letting us inside their house, he is just a horse's ***.

I don't think the family has a problem with it . They just haven't announced it public until Bama says it's ok. Now does that mean Bama doesn't want him to scare off other Oline recruits or is Bama putting him on hold because they're after someone they like better ? I got no idea .

Hopefully he gives UK a really hard look. UK has one of the best offensive lines in the nation without all the high profile recruits. That should speak volumes to a recruit of Wills caliber. It's not a hard sell. Play in your back yard and block for Benny Snell while your family and friends get to attend every home game.

The team and staff have done just fine and he's not coming to U.K. He's just not that into us. It's fine and nobody is at fault, but I'm moved on from this guy

Jedrick Wills is a smart kid with elite football talent and lots of options. This is about his life. He won't pick a school because of the outcome of a couple of 2016 football games. That narrative is just silly. If Wills is willing to move inside and play guard in college, he is going to Alabama. If he sticks to his guns and insists on playing tackle in college, then Kentucky still has an outside chance. It has been obvious for months that Alabama and Michigan are the favorites, with Tennessee, Ohio State, Florida, and Kentucky trying to push into the final chase. The best sign for Kentucky is that Wills postponed his decision in September. Obviously, Kentucky's September record wasn't the reason.

I think that the more time that goes by, the less likely it is that he winds up in Tuscaloosa. From what I gather, our staff wants 1 more OL and has wanted to get him on board for a while. We've also turned up the heat on Trey Smith in case we miss out on Wills. It's looking like whoever commits first will get the last spot.

I don't understand why some think Kentucky still has a chance to sign this kid when Kentucky has never really had a chance to sign the kid. It doesn't matter what we do this season. Some kids just want to play at a national power house school like Bama and nothing we can do on the field can change that. Its the same when we sign elite recruits in basketball. The recruits home state school might have a good year, but at the end of the day that recruit still signs with Kentucky. Bama is as elite as a school can get in football. The Bama brand has a lot of power. Once a kid falls for Bama, it's next to impossible to change their mind. This kid has been about Bama from day 1. If we were undefeated, nothing would be different with this kid. It might make the reasoning why he didn't choose Kentucky, but at the end of the day it's still the kid signing with Bama. If we can keep winning games at this rate, the next few recruiting classes with the home state elite might think about Kentucky with a different mindset. Those are the kids we need to worry about. This recruitment won't kill us, but I'm not wasting any more time worrying about something that isn't going to happen.

If Wills pulls the trigger on Bama, that definitely helps Kentucky's chances with Trey Smith.

Looks like J. Petty is going to stay home and play for the state school..... Let's hope Wills makes the the same decision to st home and be a HERO!

100% going to Bama. absolutely nothing.. not even us going undefeated the rest of the way will change it. Give up the pipe dream now so you dont get p*ssed later when he actually announces in public for Bama.

Would love him here at Kentucky but will wait to see where the chips fall. Kid has to do what is best for him, if Alabama overrecruits, then I hope he chooses us.. that is if he hasn't already.
