Season scoring vs Indiana

It's all a moot point now since we have moved on from Shula, but there's obviously nothing else to talk about so, here goes.....

Saw a blurb about IU's margin of victory this season, so it got me to wondering how we compare.

IU has won by a total margin of 311 point (that is not total points scored...just the total margin of all their wins). We, on the other hand have scored a total of 177 points, which I think comes down to around 142 when you take out defensive and ST scores. Might be even lower than that.

Their margin of victory is more than double our total offensive output.

Is this a joke. Their schedule is ranked 50th in difficulty while we are at # 3. Plus their QB has good OL protection.

blah blah...we're always b*tching about our strength of schedule

and, duh, yeah, OL is a major factor. "They're only good on offense b/c they have good OL" isn't a great excuse.

Nope. In which case you can just compare their 311 total margin to our total points of 177. It ain't much prettier.
