I had to read through the application twice to make sure I was ordering the right thing. Wow.oofta, price increase again. Ticket cost has more than doubled since 2020![]()
I'm not surprised. Season tickets have sold out multiple years in a row. Basic economics of supply and demand. Demand outstrips supply, so raise prices.oofta, price increase again. Ticket cost has more than doubled since 2020![]()
Waiting for the schedule to come out...but NGL, $25 a ticket per dual (based on 7 home duals) seems like a lot.I'm not surprised. Season tickets have sold out multiple years in a row. Basic economics of supply and demand. Demand outstrips supply, so raise prices.
Yeah, its all relative I suppose, but if you enjoy the sport it's a low cost option to just about anything else that you may find entertaining from a sports perspective.Waiting for the schedule to come out...but NGL, $25 a ticket per dual (based on 7 home duals) seems like a lot.
I won't pay to go to duals any more after the last several years of having no clue who you'll get to see wrestle and getting half backups sometimes.Yeah, its all relative I suppose, but if you enjoy the sport it's a low cost option to just about anything else that you may find entertaining from a sports perspective.
It's damn near free compared to a day at Kinnick, Wrigley Field, U.S. Bank, former Excel Energy (the Wild), etc.
I think most Iowa Wrestling fans that have been at Carver for MANY iconic moments over the years would say they would have paid a lot more to be there at that particular time. I know I would.
Like it or not (I don't), but Iowa now has Professional Sports Teams (that old joke no longer applies). The associated upward costs will align with that reality, you can take that to the bank (or more appropriately out of your bank).
I don't know all of the particulars, so forgive me, but I believe the Gophers are charging an extra mandatory $200 per student this year to put towards their Athletic Department funding. Imagine having zero interest in sports and having to pay that on top of everything else. Yikes. That should tell everyone all they need to know about the current landscape of " $$$ College Sports $$$".
So yeah, it always sucks paying more for things you enjoy. But like every other year prior to this one, you have to make that decision if it's worth it to you.
Oh for sure, it's still a reasonably priced ticket but it seems like a big increase.Yeah, its all relative I suppose, but if you enjoy the sport it's a low cost option to just about anything else that you may find entertaining from a sports perspective.
