And let's be real. With all due respect to Portis, if Towns had gotten off at the start of SEC play the way he has since the midway point, that would be his too.

Glad to see Aaron get recognized. His year was solid but somewhat stymied by the platoon. He could have really gone off with more time on the court and showed a real jump from the first to second year. Conversely, I think the platoons helped KAT and WCS look more efficient and let them play a bit more free. Sure they could have done more offensively with more time on the court but they would have also been in more foul trouble without the platoons.

Andrew should not have been left off. I would take him over any other point guards in the SEC.

I'm happy for our guys but I see two huge pieces of BS. Drew should have been 2nd team SEC. WCS should have been SEC POY. How can WCS make it further in the National POY voting than Portis yet Portis gets sec POY? It's just because they didn't wanna give UK every award.

What POY award list did WCS make that Portis didn't? Portis is a Wooden Award finalist as well as WCS. Not sure I follow there.

I see now that WCS made the Naismith Award list and Portis did not. Pretty sure Portis is deserving though. Would not have argued with WCS, but give Portis a little bit of credit. He was impressive and no doubt the most valuable player of any team in the SEC. Maybe the country.

Just remember Arkansas Fans,if any of the Kentucky Players were getting the minutes of Portis and were the focus of the Offense like Portis,their numbers would be equal or better than Portis.Instead they are sharing minutes and sacrificing stats to be an UNDFEATED TEAM and win it all.

Maybe if Arkansas had actually done something post season since 1995 ,I'd be a little more sympathetic,but the arrogance of Arkansas Fans after one year of slightly better than average play,and you come crawling out of the woodwork like roaches
