If Vandy were to beat Tenn. 6 of the 7 Sec East teams will go Bowling and the SEC East will try to get some redemption this weekend as several Scheduled games with ACC. BEST ...A good sample of SEC EAST against ACC this weekend.. Florida plays Florida State. Georgia Plays Georgia Tech, South Carolina Plays Clemson and UK plays UL. I believe SEC East will win at least 2 of the games..

I believe the SEC wins one(GA vs. Ga. Tech)

I think we can and will beat Tech, but its a tough matchup because of their offense. We haven't faced an option team this year and our 4 frosh DL haven't had to deal with OL cut blocking and diving at their knees the entire game. Thats a pretty big deal if you think a guy is trying to mess with your career and its what Tech teaches. But like all option teams, handle the dive and it will usually seal the deal, hopefully we can. I think UF can and will likely win if they can come back after their big win at LSU. But they might be taking the week off getting ready to face Bama. USC and UK will have to play turnover free and get a few themself to come out on top I am afraid, they are playing the 2 best teams.

If it isn't the weakest division in P5 football, the SEC Least is definitely the most mediocre.

Vandy won't beat TN IMO. That said, as someone else pointed out, they can still go bowling with 5 wins...which is a joke, but that is the system.

We should know after tomorrow how the SEC Least compares with ACC.. Right??

I already know having followed SEC football for 50 years that the SEC East is weak. And there are a lot of others who are true football people that agree.

So this weekend means nothing to me.

Unless the SEC has a bad day, then you'll proclaim it means something.

I've forgotten more about SEC football than you will ever know. Like I said, I've been a fan for 50+ years. And I hate where this league is headed in football.

Sagarin ranks it the worst. Just barely worse than ACC West, but no one else is close

TWO 25 point wins by ACC and 2 close losses or maybe win all 4 would prove the ratings about right. If SEC EAST were to win 3 or 4 games then it begins to swings the other way

Won't be surprised if the SEC wins 3 out of 4. All 4 of the SEC teams have improved a lot since the first few games of the season...and Georgia has already beaten UNC, one of the ACC division leaders.

SEC has been down a couple of years, West not as much as the East but its hard to say otherwise, Big10 is clearly better this year. Big12 isn't, I don't believe the Pac12 is either, ACC has Clemson, Louisville and not much else, even FSU is a shell of themself. We have 1 team who is probably a top 10 team, Big 10 has 4 that can fit in there, Big12 has 1, ACC has 1, maybe 2, Pac12 has 1, the rest in the top 10 are there because no one really deserves to be there.

Really?

The ACC is sending its top 3 teams overall from its stronger division to play against teams from the SEC East.

Clemson and UL are by far the two best ACC teams. In those games, the SEC teams are big underdogs.

The only way the outcomes of these games will tell us anything about how the SEC East compares with the ACC more generally is if the UL/UK and Clemson/USC games are closer than expected or the SEC teams win those games.

By your logic, if Alabama beat Viirginia Tech, LSU beat Miami, and Georgia beat UNC (oh, wait that already happened), those outcomes would tell us how the ACC Coasting Division compares with the SEC.

It will be interesting to see how the SEC does in the Bowl Games. I think they will do better then a lot of you expect.

Bowl games are exhibition games and aren't necessarily a measuring stick for the strength of a conference. How teams look over a 12 game schedule is the true barometer and the overall play this season has been as poor as we've seen in a long time.

IMO, while this is not the most powerful the division has ever been, put SEC east teams against anyone but the top team in other P5 conferences and we will more than hold our own. It's a matter of perspective.

I guess I expect the games to come out different then you. I do expect both UK and USC to be closer then 25 point games and maybe one win between the two.
