Has the SEC reached divisional parity? For years the SEC West dominated the SEC East in inter-divisional games. For Example, last year the West won 10 - 4 (and two of those East wins were by UGA).

This year the SEC East is ahead 7 - 6 in inter-divisional games with one game left, Arkansas at Missouri today. Ark -3.5

It goes in cycles; the east dominated the 90's, seems like the west had had a strangle hold on things for a while til Georgia won it last year.

More often than not the top 2 teams were in the West the last 15 years or so and the bottom team was in the East. This year, Vandy may not be the bottom team and the top 2 teams may not be in the West. But is that the trend or just a blip? I think the biggest under achiever without question is in the West ATM.

This is a fluid question that can look different by the season. But since the SEC will be dropping the divisions soon, it won't matter.

I don't see any doubt that GA is the best team in the SEC this year. The West has more balance than the East though.

It’s the most parity I’ve seen in a while. Alabama is down by Alabama standards and talent is tightening up from NIL and Transfer portal. But as someone said above, it won’t matter in a few years.
