So, July Basketball was fun but is now over. We can put the bball team on the back burner for a few months.

LETS GET INTO FOOTBALL!!!!!! Ready for this season. Ready to see Leary and the offense. Ready to see the defense take the next step forward. Ready to see how our running game evolves (post CRoD post Benny). Ready for this team to take the next step.

Hope they do it!

Yup ready to see some football. I do not watch NFL any longer and will go see my high school team every once and again. SO lets get some Saturday action going ASAP. Do not wish a day away but man i have been ready for football for a while now.

Seems so close but so far away.

Titans signing Hopkins makes them slightly less awful on paper. UK should have a good chance at 8 wins themselves.

Ready for 12 team playoff and 16 team SEC n 2024 but not wishing this season/year away.

My attention to football is year round. I haven’t listened to one sec of this summer bball. Too many thoughts of the Bahamas last year
I feel similar. I watched every basketball game in Canada, but turned the first two off in the 3Q. Made it to the 4Q in the 3rd game, but didn't finish it and took two days to watch the final game in its entirety. I'm not sure why, but basketball just doesn't interest me just before football. I'll watch and cheer, but I'm ready for some smash mouth! I'll get interested in basketball in December and fully engaged after the bowl game.

It's because you don't get to know any of the players. It took me 2 games to get names right. That's why I like football more now. You can see the guys develop and watch them improve.

Idc about getting to know them as long as they win big. They haven't been doing that lately and if that doesn't change this season time for a change.

Just by pure mathematics it's harder to keep up with a football roster than basketball so kudos to you there.

Maybe, but we had 1 and dones before COVID and I was much more engaged. Hell, I used to get a group of UK alum together and we'd watch the games live from my computer in Tokyo which is 13/14 hours ahead. I'm not sure exactly when r even why, but my interest in basketball has dropped to the lowest it has ever been, sometime during COVID. I don't want to be this way, but I am.

I just don’t understand looking at the Summer ga e schedule as a harbinger of the season.

Whoever did the Vandy votes should have their vote pulled. It doesn't mean anything if some people are just throwing darts or being funny.
I agree but pretty sure the vote is anonymous which is probably what needs to be changed!

The South Carolina SEC media love is a bit of a myth.
This is the first time in 4 or 5 years they have been voted ahead of us
Scar fans are notoriously positive which drifts into their media. I'd bet big money 90% of the high votes for Scar came from media from that state.

It could have a lot to do with what the NCAA has allowed College Basketball to become. It no fun to watch anymore. Teams are coached to cheat. Duke flops all over the court. Tennessee is coached to reach out and stiff arm guy on the beginning of the drive. Coached!! They play the entire game like this knowing the officials can’t and won’t call them all. Players are mugged in the lane. It’s just unbearable to watch. I used to watch every game with passion. Not anymore. I used to watch our rivals play to scout them and hoe they lost. Not anymore. Now the government want to give them NIL enforcement. The whole college game is a shitshow

Fair enough about focusing on football. Still, nothing interesting has ever come out of SEC media day.
