9 out of 13 teams eliminated in regionals. Brutal.
4 of the 9 eliminated were AT HOME. Thank goodness 4 teams made it, but as a whole the SEC laid a giant rotten egg in the Regionals.

And LSU struggled mightily to get past the Mighty Trojans... of Little Rock.

That Little Rock team was feisty! If I was coach I would give a couple of those guys a look.

And of the 4 teams that made a super regional, one is assured of being eliminated (Arky - Tenn)

To put things in perspective the ACC sent 9 teams and 5 advanced. (one is assured of being eliminated Miami Vs L'ville)

If you throw enough poop at the wall, one will stick.
No reason someone with a losing conference record should be in the mix
But if your team catches fire and wins your conference's post-season tournament,......

25% of World Series will be SEC. Plus the last 5 World Series winners are SEC. The reports of the demise are overrated.

In other words, 2 SEC teams. Goodness, we had 13 teams in the posteason. It's not exactly an accomplishment that 2 escaped to Omaha. Sunbelt and Big 10 both have have 1 team in Omaha from 4 selected from the postseason. ACC, has 2 in Omaha (so far) from 9 selected from postseason (could be 3 if FSU advances). Of the conferences represented in Omaha, only the Big 12 will have a worse % representation rate considering the total number of teams in the postseason from that conference.

As of this writing, who are the two from the ACC? All I note is Louisville, and Dook if they can "race" past Murray State this evening.

So in summation, roughly one team out of 4 participants from the Sec, ACC, and Big Ten made the cws.
