There are a couple of games this weekend that could set the tone in the race for the SEC championship - UT hosts Florida; Texas A&M vs Arkansas at AT&T Stadium.
UT has some serious issues along the offensive line which doesn't bode well against Florida's strength. Florida seems to be almost a carbon copy of last year's team where their defense is going to have to carry them and as we saw last year, that can only get you so far. Obviously the winner of this game becomes the favorite, but the SECE - while still down - is more competitive than last year.
Alabama and LSU received all of the preseason hype and they both had huge conference wins on Saturday, but I think the game in Arlington could set the tone for the SECW race. Arkansas and A&M are both good enough to contend and the winner of this one will start to get noticed. I think the SECW is a notch below where it has been in the last couple of years and - it too - is much more competitive than years past.
Should be fun to see things play out.
