Brody fuçkin Belt now? JFC. Do we not have any play makers?
Belt is actually a pretty damned good player. I'm surprised he hasn't played more. He can play on either side of the ball and he should have been used as a RB last year instead of murdering Wandale. He'll be a great coach some day if he doesn't go on to some more lucrative career. We've got at least one other walk on RB who could start for some D-1 programs. I think Belt has played RB, WR and DB in his time at NU.

N would do themselves a favor by keeping Betts, Manning and Toure on the field and subbing A. Brown, Nixon, Martin and Hickman. Defenses would have to get off of your running game with those threats on the field.
Betts, Brown, and Nixon can’t gut Skoal while reciting Florida Georgia Line lyrics, so no snaps on Saturdays til the do.

AMart playing well in Q3 and most of Q2. Not sure if he can play this well against D1 teams, but I’ll enjoy this W as it could be our last of the season.

Stop what? Belt is a damned good player. He doesn't have the kind of size and twitch that you need to start at DB in the P5 but he would start at RB for teams like South Dakota State and South Dakota not to mention scores of other FCS level D-1 teams. When you're running a 155 lb WR in to the middle of the line in the red zone, you damned well could have done a LOT worse than Brody Belt. I've seen him play RB. It appears that his punt catching skills may be lacking.

Only one penalty so far! This is about the type of game we were hoping to see, maybe, just maybe, it will carry over to next week. Maybe.

Soooo... Haarberg it NOT 2nd team and Smothers can NOT hit the broad side of the barn let alone a wide open WR.

Sooooo glad I hung in there to watch some of these back ups. Seriously. Brown is quick. Old school option by Smothers. THAT is what we need to run with the QBs we have.

Yep.. I know a lot of people don’t like smothers as a qb, but man we could win 8 games if we just play old school option football with him at qb
