This NW team sucks. No reason this should be a game. I know we have to deal with it and wait for a potential turnaround but man it sucks watching poorly coached FB.

This. It shouldn't even be a game and coaching has kept Northwestern in the game.
Yes, I fully realize Northwestern record but alas their record doesn't make unbearable, nor doesn't mean we can't dominate. We are playing a team of 3 stars.
I think it's interesting people think we stopped the pass last year. Go look at the numbers teams like Miami put up against us through the air. Teams like Wisconsin didn't need to pass against us, because they could run for 400 yards.
You realize that last year we dropped 7 into coverage and is why we couldn't stop the run. This year we're playing 7 against the run and our defensive backs aren't good enough to play man to man and is why we can't stop the pass. It's a talent issue. We don't have enough of it to defend both.

We suck. I wanted a bowl game for the extra practices but that's just not realistic. We need talent.
Special teams coverage has been awful. We need an NFL special teams coach, oh wait.
