I’m enjoying this like everyone, but I hope Pike does a film dive into the second half of the last few games. Something about the second half rotations he’s using that isn’t working. I can’t put my finger on it precisely, but Mulcahy/Baker combo is part of it. I think.

Ironically Paul and Jacob both played very little in the second half.
Both recorded their season low minutes.
Purdue point guards are very quick and play great on ball D.
Pike noticed this and realized neither were suited to play against it.
As quick as Young is, his speed step (which is elite) includes a high palm that opens him up to get stripped

Jacob was hurting us not helping
He really plays sloppy and out of control
At times and should have sat out the second half. Got to play more disciplined

Jacob still plays great D and can have a strong impact on offense against most teams.
Purdue isn’t one of them, he was noticeably annoyed on the bench, but in a good way.

I have a tendency to notice success or failure more on the offensive side
I think he hurts us on offense more than helping right now and we can’t afford that against good teams in tight games
