What happened to Collins' rotation that worked so well in the first half? He's stuck with the same 5 for most of this half and they are spent. He has got to trust his bench because his starters just get gassed down the stretch.

Beran was in foul trouble for so much of the game that he was ice cold when he actually got back in. Can’t play him in those conditions.

Absolutely killer. Spencer couldn’t finish the fastbreak to cut the lead to two, Nance fouls over the back. Now Maryland up 6. Damn.

Game over. This was not a moral victory. This was a bad loss.

Yes. Hard to watch. Crushing to drop a game like this after owning it in the first half. We could not stop them in the second half and when they weren’t hitting threes they were shooting 467 free throws.

Outscored by over 25 points in the second half. We certainly look like the worst team in the Big Ten second half.

Really disappointing loss. Mark Turgeon teams play to their potential about four halves a season before losing early in the NCAA tournament come March. Bummer one of those halves had to happen tonight. They played a fantastic second half though. Credit to them.

It's Collins' style, most games he settles on a lineup that plays anywhere from the last 5 to 10 minutes of the second half without subs. With all the timeouts that usually come late in games, I guess he feels there's enough rest for the guys to stay fresh. The foul trouble kind of forced his hand tonight though.
