Cats up 39-30 at the half, thanks to TWO big scoring runs: 11-2, after an 0-7 start from the field; and 14-1 to push the lead to 27-11. But Nebraska, thanks in large part to free throws, cut the lead to 39-30 at the half.

Beran had his best half of the season, with 10 points. Kopp finally made a couple baskets after missing 15 straight over two games.

Nebraska helped out a lot by racking up as many turnovers as baskets (nine). But they have a big edge at the free throw line, where they're 7-11 while NU has yet to attempt a shot. This continues to be an issue for the Cats.

A couple no-calls that easily could have gone NU's way. NU playing a good defensive game.

Ryan Young is so underutilized against these small teams. He should be dominating the block, drawing fouls or kicking out to wide open shooters. There must be some reason we don’t do it more.

Not a good start. Buie missed a wide open Koop in the paint because he puts his head down too much.

Well I have to admit, the switch to zone changed the momentum.

This is the second stretch we’ve seen Greer and Berry together. Lots of confidence shown in Beran here to be an offensive target here.

Nebraska is just hanging around. We need a run here.

I’d bet 50% of it is due to his need to play defense.

Hope Beran can improve his post game between his sophomore and junior year the way Nance has. Robbie is not ~quite~ there yet but getting closer.

I like Audige on the ball sooo much. He is a different player when is mindset is to facilitate. His pass to Kopp was right at chest level, and an easy trey.

I don’t think I had ever seen Greer take a jump shot with any hang time

How many damn turnovers does Kopp have? We are choking this away.

Well, when they're going to make pretty much every 3 they take, hard to hold the lead forever.

The problem with zone is that guys get lazy. It’s too tempting to just stand still and then you get beat.

I mean, usually you would want your opponent taking NBA-range threes. That's usually the sign of a good defensive possession.

At least Audige hit one, too.

Comical that we had to be in trouble to see Nance and Young at the same time on the court

Caught a break on the held ball too — that was a bad lob and a missed opportunity.

This game has been ... rickety. But good on Audige and Nance to make big shots. Hopefully signs of long term growth.

Pete Nance played great defense there. Helped on the pick then got back to his guy. Surprised UNL held for so long

Ok.... will we run a normal play or will we play hero ball with Audige or Buie?
