NU is up by 17 in the half. Eight of the nine Cats who have played have scored -- all but Benson. Collins certainly isn't coaching like this is a "buy" game, though. He's been screaming an awful lot. It's interesting that Nance only played two minutes in the first half, too. He may be in the doghouse.

I mean, NU has looked okay, but there's only so much you can tell by a game against Chicago State. Last year, NU beat them 96-31, the largest margin of victory in school history, and the Cats' average margin of victory is 24.4 points in 12 meetings. The Cougars put a scare into the Cats in the second half a couple years ago, when they went bonkers from 3, but this is a team that they should destroy.

Falzon has some work to do to get his shot back on target.

Kopp looking better every game.

Would have been sweet if Gaines could have connected on that dunk.

Good to get some playing time for the fresh and get Falzon a little court time. I do have to say that I don’t see Ash getting any court time this year

Falzon found the range quicker than I would have thought. Good for him!

He looked good. The one thing very noticeable is the other players will develop but Falzon looked like a man amongst boys

CC said postgame that he actually wanted to give Ash a lot of time this game, but that he wasn't feeling well after only a few minutes of play so that was that.

Yeah, CC said that he had only had a couple of practices. but came out of the game feeling great!! Probably due to the competition, but he also looked far better defensively to me...

Can we be frank. Jordan Ash is a great team guy but when he is on the court the team has no rhythm offensively and he is offensively challenged. Things looked much smoother with Turner or Greer in there
