Second-half thread for NU vs. Illinois

Well, it wasn't a pretty half -- a combined 26 fouls and 20 turnovers -- but these teams are getting after it.

NU is shooting 33.3 percent. Law and BMac are a combined 7-12; the rest of the team is 2-15. Lindsey finally hit a basket after 14 straight misses over the last two games, but at least he made 5-6 FTs. NU is getting to the line tonight: they shot 5 FTs total vs. Georgia Tech but had 14 in the first half tonight. NU also got eight points off the bench after getting 5 against GT.

NU's offense looked lost, but they found a groove at the end of the half.

By the way...Georgia Tech lost to Grambling tonight. Grambling. Yeesh.

Illinois is athletic! We need to play better defense and move the ball around on offense! Come on Vic Law! We need u

When are we going to play like men. This bs and dribbling 25 feet out bs is crap. Thus far coach Collins has coached like crap this year. We are perhaps the worst shooting team I’ve seen. Let’s exert our will against crooked underwood

Inexcusable. Turnovers on the last four possessions. We flat out suck.

I don't think NU is terrible. They're just what they were before last year's magic. An ok team that will win some games, lose some games, and will have trouble against superior athletes.
