Does anyone get the feeling that they've seen this game before?

NU started out slowly and then couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. They are shooting 22.6 percent (7-31) from the floor and 15.4 percent (2-13) from beyond the arc. They're not going to beat anyone shooting like that.

Law is 1-5 and is now 6-34 over the last 3.5 games. That's 17.6 percent. On one of NU's possessions down the stretch, he got the ball at the top of the arc, dribbled around for 10-plus seconds and then launched a contested fadeaway that had no prayer of going in.

This is just tough to watch.

For those wondering, NCAA rules don't allow the removal of a defensive foul upon review, but they can add an offensive foul such as for the hook and hold that Cowan was guilty of.

Oy.

Is this gets up to 15, which could happen fast, this one is over. If we can win the first four minutes and get this down to 6 or 7, it’s in reach. Need to play a great half to make this happen. Feels very unlikely.

Three great 3 point looks in a row for Taylor, Law, and Falzon...0 for 3. When this team goes cold, they go cold. Wow.

We were down 11 until a minute ago despite horrendous shooting. Literally 3-4 more shots fall and it’s close. You can feel the team getting deflated with each miss and in the past couple minutes it’s shown on defense.

We're just getting outplayed. SERIOUSLY outplayed. Maryland just looks like a much better team in all aspects of the game.

I'm really glad I didn't try to brave the snowstorm and head up to College Park to watch this mess. Frustrating.

So they miss the first call, but at least add the proper one. Of course, then the next three touch fouls they call on the Cats and then miss the elbow to the jaw of Gaines.

What on earth has happened to us offensively the last few games?
Nothing different the last few games. We have been offensively inept all season. We have better athletes than we used to, but less offensive skill. Our recruiting remains deficient. And we no longer use a system designed to overcome those deficiencies.

Law looks like a shell of his former self... Turner is invisible... Taylor can't even find a bucket anymore... doubling Pardon and daring us to hit shots is the book on us now.

The real bummer is this team plays really hard. The chemistry seems good- the work ethic appears to be there. For some reason, it’s just not happening though.

Yes, we don’t have the athletes of Maryland, but we shouldn’t be losing by 20.

you just can't win the Big Ten shooting like that....and Maryland is destroying NU on the boards

NU is supposed to be a three point shooting team....15% on 20 shots, under 4 mins in the game
