What a half. NU leads 43-30 at the break.

Buie is attacking the rim, is 3-for-3 from distance and has 14 points. Nance is playing like the Pete Nance we hoped to see this year. He’s got 11 points and 9 rebounds.

The Cats are giving MSU a taste of its own medicine, pushing the ball at every opportunity. They’re holding their own on the boards, too, as its 17-17 on rebounds.

Now we’ll see if they can close this out. I have my doubts.

Need Miller Kopp to get more involved on offense in order for us to close it out.

Playing possibly the best team in the nation as well as we are is a good sign regardless of the outcome. Saying that tho let’s get this win.

There’s nothing fluky about this either. We’re shooting well after a somewhat slow start, but nothing crazy. Our length is bothering some shots and also limiting their offensive rebounding. We’re scoring in the paint and hustling, working hard.

Love the strong foul by Beran. They didn’t panic after the offensive board after the missed FT. This squad is learning and growing.

This is why I kept my timeshare on Nance Island. 15 points on 8 shots, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 TOs, and he harassed so many interior shots. He's a matchup nightmare when he gets it going. This was best case scenario Pete Nance, and it was him + Buie + Berry that was enough to beat #4.

He’s always been a terrific help defender and often is the personification of what you often see here described as “our size bothered them”
