Rebounding should be better with Nance and Young on the floor together.
Probably more driven by Beran’s 4 fouls than a move to not get killed on the boards.

Really nice to see, regardless of outcome, the team never stop fighting. Gutsy

My wife just asked me if I was ok when she heard me screaming like a school girl after the Audige 3

We got a decent shot there but I don’t like us waiting until 10 secs left and holding the ball. Move it around and find a good shot instead of sitting on it. Don’t like that.

Did not like us holding the ball on that last possession. Would have preferred to have run the offense as usual.

We didn't play our best half, but still was enough to hold them off. Love it.

Go Cats!

3 shooters plus Nance who is not great but can’t be left alone, not enough?

The offense looked awkward to me with the two of them in there. Tried to play a high low post game but it did not seem comfortable. Again, I haven’t watched these guys like you guys have but based on my initial impression it seems like Young at the 5 with Beran playing a stretch 4 and Kopp, Audige and Buie on the perimeter would be the best lineup.

Wow, we had them right where they wanted where they could've crushed us at the end of the game. Cats somehow pulled it out! Wow!

Was that 9 stops in 10 possessions at the end of the game? And the one was a shot you live with, even if Liddell - a badass - hit it over Young.

This was a very tough, very good OSU team. Today we were a little better, which is what matters. But the January 13 rematch will be a slugfest. This is gonna be a fun season.

Also happened to be when we came back.

My grievance is more with Young not seeing much playing time than with lineups. Kid is, in my opinion, a really good player

He is for sure but couldn’t defend #32. That man ate him alive. OSU had a quick undersized center that’s not young’s game.

No doubt. I saw that within a couple of minutes of watching him play. The team is better with him on the floor.

A little exaggerated. I thought Young did a decent job on one of the better players in the B1G.

Agreed. The OSU player made a very though jumper late in the game with Young guarding him but Young did a very good job of moving his feet, keeping him in front of him and closing out on the jump shot. The kid just made a very tough shot.

That was an entertaining half.

Miller Kopp has 14 points, Buie and Nance have 4 each, and everyone else has 2. NU’s bench has been vital again, with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

Ohio State had success inside early, but since then, Towns has hurt them from the outside. He’s got 11 points, including three 3s.

Turnovers had been big in this one, as OSU’s eight turnovers had led to a lot of fast-break buckets for the Cats.
If we had had a second half like we had today last Sat against dOSU, we would have won that game too

We are not better with him on the floor. He is a very good rotational player. But our offense and defense both function at higher level when the starters are playing together. He is not nearly as good a help defender as Nance or Beran and I think the offense flowing through Nance up top is our most efficient offense. Young was definitely a big part of the win today. And I am sure he will be in other games as well.

I agree the 5-Out sets flow better, but get used to seeing Nance and Young on the floor together as we face off against bigger and bigger teams. At least that’s what CCC said in his presser.
