Actually, I've come on here multiple times defending Collins. It's extremely tough to walk into a high-major job with zero head coaching experience. He's done a great job without that experience. He will get better.

However, lunkheaded comments, like, "The coaches have no responsibility for shooting percentages" and other asinine comments like that are too much to ignore without a bit of mocking.

Missed layups usually result from two things:

1. Overmatched players, whose talent doesn't match that of their opponents.
2. Tight, nervous players.

I wouldn't conclude much from one game like that. If you have a season-full of those types of performances, then you obviously have to evaluate those two things mentioned above.

The funny thing is I’m just so very frustrated where if they told me at the start end lost by three or four, I’d have been happy with or effort.

We just played the #2 team in the country to the wire with 8 scholarship players...and you're shitting on the coach. Yeah, you're a big fan of Collins all right.

I'm as embarrassed as I've ever been as a Cat fan. This team has no courage and no fight and neither does our coach. Disgusting.

CC was a hard nose player. All his teams at Duke were hard nosed and mentally strong. He is coaching a soft group here, everyone knows it, plain and simple.

I did no such thing. I've rooted for this program since probably before you were alive. It's a combination of coaches and players. You can keep pretending that I'm blaming Collins for everything, but anyone can go back and read my posts and see what I actually write.

The only folks worth reading in places like this or from media types are those who have something objective to say. Rah-rah homerism and groupthink aren't appealing characteristics. Most intelligent fans grow tired of that fairly quickly, even when it's on behalf of their favored team.
