What do you expect? Minnesota has a 2 to 1 ratio in terms of time of possession.
This is 100% true and they are huge. It's also true that they run the play clock down to 3 seconds every single play. That has some effect vs, say, running it w 15 seconds. Probably 5-8 minutes of excess idling

It was GHP on the drop earlier, and now this one. He definitely doesn't need to see the field. Yuck.

He’s getting some separation (which is encouraging), but is losing focus or just not seeing the ball well for whatever reason. Tough to watch.

Felt like Robinson and Kirtz were a nice little pairing, but without them…it’s been rough.

Wasn’t he a 4 star recruit?
GHP was a high 3 star based on his raw physical talents, track star level athleticism and height. High risk/reward kind of situation. Whether he could be molded into a football player was the issue; can't consider a guy like that as a 4 star.

Pretty much every 4 or 5 star is already something of a football player, not just raw talent.

They were what we expected them to be. There is a reason they lead our division. Boy, things can look ugly when they aren’t going right on offense. I’ve been that guy. My hats off to PJ and his team. We just need to get to work on fundamentals. (Random attack on student reporter.) Beautiful day for some football. Way to go students.

Anything else?

This season is what it is.

We're missing a lot and we're at a huge deficit with what we have compared to any team in the top half of the conference.

Iowa game could be interesting if Iowa's offense is as inept as it's been the past 2 weeks.

Considering our decent success these past several years along with the new facility, the inability to recruit has been so disappointing.
A few years ago I read an article on ESPN.com where they asked some younger NFL players the top reasons why they chose where they went to school. Top reasons were the ability of said program to get them into the pros and second, the promise made by coaches that they will start from the get go. Facilities were tied with other factors for third position. In fact getting laid at the recruiting functions was mentioned the most for the third reason. It seems the millions spent on the facility were wasted, just as the millions donated by Ryan will be.

Wholesale changes need to be made and yes some heads need to role!!! Fitzgerald seems to be running some sort of halfway house for mediocre coaches, not running a Big Ten football program only a season removed from a division title. Northwestern will never recruit the state run schools, thus I'd he wants to rebuild this program back up he needs to be creative with systems that help to alleviate these built in deficiencies, based on the aforementioned reality.
