I also hate, and I mean hate the way the NCAA handles teams with injuries to major players.

It's almost like those games don't count if you lose with a star player out.

It you lose four in a row with a player out, maybe you should have more depth on team, instead of getting a free pass.

The entire tournament is a tv production from top to bottom trying to get the best ratings for cbs. The same is even more so for the 4 school CFP with espn.

If it was about having a selection & seeding process that is founded on being fair, they'd choose schools totally blind-no names & just base the process on overall record, SOS, RPI, and what you did OOC and to end the season (last 10-15). Think about it, they could have 95% of the tournament selected & seeded by Saturday before selection Sunday because there's what 3 to 5 automatic bid decided on Sunday.

I wish someone would do this with a group of former coaches and show the comparison.

WVU is in the tournament, is used to long plane rides because of its Big 12 membership and won't have to play 1, 2 or 3 seeds till the Sweet Sixteen. And we have Jevon Carter, the most complete player in college basketball. So why the whining?

Texas Tech received a pass for its four game losing streak because it had some debilitating injuries at the time is the only plausible excuse for its third seed.

Yes, you are 100 percent correct. Notre Dame, this year, did not get the benefit of the doubt.

Does that make you feel better now?
my honest opinion is, we don't enough pure shooters on this team to do much damage..you just can't go into these 5 minute periods where no one can score..I hope I'm wrong.

Not as much as a good glass of bourbon would.

In all seriousness, I do see your point. I just think the selection committee is weird in their application of certain criteria. They reward Texas Tech for taking losses without key players, yet they don’t reward Notre Dame for playing considerable time without Colson. Then, they flip the script and will do ANYTHING to put Trae Young in the tournament. It is indeed infuriating.

WVU should have been a 4 seed at worst. The politics of the NCAA does not care about any seeds below 4. These are used to market TV for them.
