I understand bru is compromised. We all want him to remain healthy and his family. The voice he leads doesn't put him outside the bubble. We aren't forcing him to go.the rest of us aren't scared.

Airport, serious question. How come I suck at golf?

Probably you don't have proper fundamentals and enough practice time. Tough game. Get a series of lessons if you are serious.

I usually only play a couples times per year in some work related golf tourneys. I'm going to try to play a lot more just to get some consistency going. Played last weekend for the first time since last summer. Was topping the ball a lot the first 9 and then played surprisingly solid on the back 9

And doesn't take into consideration how the virus spreads. Yes, put the thing in a petri dish, sunshine and heat may kill it. People aren't petri dishes.

Whether it's true or not, did you read the graphic in the tweet? Seems not, otherwise you would have noticed where it specifically mentions "Aerosols", which makes it look like they were testing not in a petri dish.

So far there's no clear evidence that UVA or UVB will kill coronavirus, but being outside, alone, is better than being inside, alone. And if beach goers can follow social distancing guidelines, wear a mask and keep moving, then there is no reason why they shouldn't be allowed out on a beach.

Yes, I scanned it and read the latest article published yesterday and found on yahoo news. Everything I posted remains factual versus the stupid thought it is safe to be outside in a group thinking sunshine will magically kill the virus in a carrier. It won't. We will see a spike in cases, medical personnel will be at harm treating these fools, the economy will continue to suffer because of a reversal of mitigation efforts.

It isn't time yet.

Here is a hypothetical that won't happen but still for you Covid-truthers, think about it. Would you be in favor of medical personnel deny treatment to those individuals that have violated stay at home orders and have come down with serious symptoms WHEN you will catch this virus just because you have this fantasy that sunshine will kill the virus and you are safe?

Is it coincidence or just bad luck that these states without a stay at home order is seeing a rise in cases and deaths? No. Mitigation is our best defense against this virus at this stage. The virus is still very active and some experts say it is more active now than in March. Reopening public areas like beaches along with the false thinking people are safe because of sunshine or even the absolute worse thought of it is similar to the "common cold", this country will see a big increase in cases. And guess what happens when cases go up? The economy will go down. You people are completely wrong believing the quicker the country gets back to normal the better for the country. In theory that is correct but you must factor in other information and these acts you people are proposing are counter-productive to the economy. Not to mention it will increase deaths. And for any moron wanting to discredit this link because it is CNN, save your foolishness being shown yet again on this board.

I'm not in favor of this suggestion but people with lung cancer doesn't put medical personnel lives at danger. Covid does. Try harder at understanding points.

Well, if you play that little, you shouldn't expect more. That's just not enough. A lot of golf isn't intuitive. Practice it a lot. Now, I'm 65 and my body doesn't allow me to practice for hours anymore.

Try less hard to make the 98% adhere to what you think. Stay home, don't go out. Remember, you say it's not safe outside

Results from government lab experiments show that the coronavirus does not survive long in high temperatures and high humidity, and is quickly destroyed by sunlight, providing evidence from controlled tests of what scientists believed to be true.
The study found that the risk of “transmission from surfaces outdoors is lower during daylight” and under higher temperature and humidity conditions.
“Sunlight destroys the virus quickly,” reads the briefing.

Experiments conducted by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) show the coronavirus can be 'quickly' destroyed by sunlight.

When you morons catch Covid by acting foolishly, isolate yourself out in the sun instead of putting medical personnel at risk and taking a ventilator away from someone else. Let us know how it goes.

Acting foolishly? So, going out and enjoying life is "foolish"? Being able to go in to a store with my FAMILY is "foolish"? I can't even do that anymore because "only one per household" is allowed. I'm a Democrat, and I think some of my fellow Democrats have lost their meaning of why they are in this party. It's NOT to have this type of life we are in now.

Florida Governor Gives the Go-Ahead for Beaches to Reopen as Soon as Today

Sunlight destroys virus quickly, new govt. tests find, but experts say pandemic could last through summer

https://news.yahoo.com/sunlight-des...ould-still-last-through-summer-200745675.html

Preliminary results from government lab experiments show that the coronavirus does not survive long in high temperatures and high humidity, and is quickly destroyed by sunlight, providing evidence from controlled tests of what scientists believed — but had not yet proved — to be true.

The study found that the risk of “transmission from surfaces outdoors is lower during daylight” and under higher temperature and humidity conditions. “Sunlight destroys the virus quickly,” reads the briefing.

While that may provide some good news about the outlook for outdoor activities, the Department of Homeland Security briefing on the results cautions that enclosed areas with low humidity, such as airplane cabins, “may require additional care to minimize risk of transmission.”

The real question now, Bukhari said, is whether enough people have already been infected that the summer temperatures won’t prevent continued transmission.

“So let’s say 50 percent of the population is already infected, and then those temperatures arrive and then those humidity levels arrive, then what difference can those temperatures and humidity levels be? Probably none. That’s the thing.”

“[Ultraviolet] light breaks DNA into fragments. If the virus is floating around in the air and there’s bright sunlight, the UV component in sunlight will break the DNA or the RNA into pieces,” he told Yahoo News.

Infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has become the leading face of the White House response, has provided cautious statements about what the summer months might mean for the coronavirus, saying recently, “It’s almost certainly going to go down a bit.” He has stopped far short, however, of saying that good weather alone would have an impact.

“As a clinical doctor, we want to learn as fast as possible anything that works clinically. You want to be able in the first line to say: This is preliminary, with caveats. But why hold back the information?” she said.

It may be that the government wants to control how the message is released, she suggested. “I would say in a global pandemic, that’s less of a priority.”

Fauci already said it may go away and it may not. He said there are two main things about this virus that make it very challenging- it can be transferred without the carrier having symptoms and it transfers from person to person very easily.

Younger healthy people are dying too, moron.
However, Fauci said yesterday--in a very diplomatic way--that he had met with Democrat leaders, and that your lovers' obsession with testing is wrong because a negative test result only proves that you don't have the virus on the day that the test is taken. He and the Admiral who spoke after him made it clear that expecting people to be tested every day or even every week before be allowing to work was unrealistic. It won't be long before CNN, MSNBC and the NYT will attack Fauci because he doesn't endorse the leftists' plan to require every person to be tested before returning to work, as you Commies know that doing so would take so long that the economy wouldn't start to recover until after the November election.

I know you like to keep up on the latest "facts".
From a recent WP article regarding masks:
April 1, 2020 at 2:33 p.m. EDT:
Those using cloth masks for personal use should wash their masks frequently, she
( a Dr. MacIntyre ) said. “Wash it every day and hang it outside to dry, if possible,” she said. “Sunlight is very germicidal.”

Trump's plan to shut things down for a month or so to handle multiple problems and prepare our country to deal with this was outstanding. Anyone who wants to prolong it outside the guidelines isn't part of the solution. If they have a compromised immune system continue to stay home. If they are healthy they should be allowed to get on with their lives per the guidelines. To deny that to healthy people will lead to much bigger problems.

Fauci and Brix have tried very, very hard to not get caught up in the gotcha political game that CNN,ABC,MSNBC,NBC NPR,PBS and the AP is playing.
The MSM is going to turn on them very quickly.
I have been a lifelong viewer and financial supporter of PBS.......BUT.......what their news division has become is absolutely despicable......especially Amanpour and Woodruff.

Ruby is using a UV process to 'clean' N95 masks they are giving to staff. I'm assuming the thought is that the sun's UV rays will do the same to the virus.

UV light is commonly used in disinfection of items and places. You'll see devices in hallways in hospitals just for that purpose. UVA is typical sunlight, UVB is what you see in tanning beds. UVC is even more powerful and is what is used for disinfection.
