…A guy I like to watch out there is Niro. Plays hard, fast, intense and with a purpose. Maybe a good candidate for #1 next year.

My rays of sunshine are Hull, Meiser, probably Azema, maybe Washington.Sad that I don’t have more.
PS I am omitting a couple of guys who are playing well but I expected them to play well

I would add Bergin to that list. He is way undersized for a B1G LB, but he maxes out his potential given his physical limitations and plays with fire.

I agree but I said that I am omitting at least three I can think of who are playing well but I expected them to, which includes Bergin

The left side of our offensive line is solid. Skoronski and Priebe have done a really nice job for second year players. It gives me hope for when all of our starters are Anderson recruited & coached.

Meisner came from the portal. So did Carrington. Did Carrington ever play?

Ray is certainly a ray of hope.

Gallagher the Younger seems to be playing better and better. I think he is going to be a good one. We need another LB or two to emerge. Azema is improving too.

Priebe has been average at best. He needs to improve a lot.

Washington is definitely my most pleasant surprise. He’s been surehanded after two years of not much. Good playmaker — made the play of the year — a mini Dunsmore TD grab. (Not nearly as good as Dunsmore’s, but he delivered a good hit.)

Ray of sunshine is watching the only thread with interest and traffic disappear. Are we allowed to talk about the tailgates? Former player tweets or careers? Interesting line to draw - no discussion of things that happen on the field during the game that are now reported nationally.

Niro is a breath of fresh air. Gallagher, Azema, Hull and Kirtz are kids returning next year that showed improvement this year. Tommy A. has elevated his game to star caliber. Ayeni’s and McPherson’s position groups for the most part have come ready to play and performed. It’s not much but those are the silver linings in the dark cloud that has been this year.

What thread disappeared?

Oh, that little one about the protest that had the most views of any thread since the rant board disappeared.
Man what the hell. Are we adults or what? Why do the mods keep wiping out legitimate threads? This board is really starting to suck.

I have another: we aren’t the Raiders (we just have their former coach)

Football sucks in Chicago this year. I would not be watching the bears, under the same intention I have for the cats, but for Monday night and my local watering hole. I might have to open a Pinterest account and take up knitting in the fall at this rate. Worked for the kid in the yahoo commercial.

The refs are treating Justin Fields like a NU Bball player. His luck. Best to play sick and get out of Chicago. They are so bad that even when they do good, they don’t get any respect.
