When WE screw up there is no injured reserve or PUP list. Only if we're very lucky. LOL

* Knew of a guy in AFROTC in college at Princeton (RU and PU used to share the same Detachment) who gave a "negative" commissioning statement upon his graduation from Old Nassau. The Air Force said, "No problem bro...but you're going where we say you're going as an Airman until your tuition is paid back." LOL

You don't have to go where they tell you to go.

You can get a key to the base admin building from your ex-girlfriend's one-star uncle who happens to be the base commander, sneak into the personnel office in the middle of the night and re-type your PCS orders.

At least, I've heard this can be done.

Speaking for myself, I make light of bad situations.

Also, generally speaking, I have a philosophical problem with ideologues--political or sports.

Guys who always side with the program, even in the face of kids robbing people at hammer point, fundamentally annoys me. So, I chime in.

Last, guilty or innocent in a court of law doesn't matter. LC, a team captain, put his personal life before his brothers, his program and his university. He can never un-ring that bell in my eyes. Maybe that makes me a tough grader. Maybe, undoubtedly, he doesn't give a crap what I think, but that's just the way it is for me. I certainly hope he's innocent. But I'll never view him the same after the events of the last month.

In the words of Bo...

THE TEAM...THE TEAM...THE TEAM
Speak that crap the next time you face jail time...

No one is relishing.

We have nothing else this season because this team is atrocious.

We have a right to be angry about a senior captain running out of the football facility to engage in these kind of shenanigans.

What if game 1 was against OSU and we were, perish the though, expected to be competitive? Your team captain misses curfew? That is strike 1.

He was instructed to remain in the building. Period. Full Stop. Even if we buy the argument that his people were in fear for their lives--which I don't but ok--why is he putting himself in the situation to begin with? He's about to become a multi millionaire. In one mock draft he's a 1st round pick. Why is HE breaking up a fight? where is the judgement?

There are 15,000 chicks on that campus. He has to cheat with one that he knows he and his family will see 8 Saturdays in the Fall?

If I felt my Mom was threatened, I don't care who said what or what round I was to be drafted in. It's the NFL. There is a lot more thuggish behavior by members than breaking up a fight, if that was indeed what he was doing. Even so, until I see people testify as to what they told him and saw, it's all conjecture. I'm not getting into what I think he should have done because I wasn't there and don't have all the facts. Like every single person on this board.

I won't give details, but I have been told with 100% certainty things through the years, from people that actually work in the department, that turned out to not be true. They didn't lie, they just thought they knew. I won't believe everything I hear, and I certainly won't believe everything I read on this board.

Waiting for the facts to come out, like everyone else should. Then I will have an opinion on what should happen to him. It is a bit shocking that people on this board who consider themselves so smart are so quick to jump in one box or another.

Not relishing in Caroo. Maybe the view is more at "the Flood follies" and this gets lumped into it.

Based on polls and articles, diehards want Flood gone, but I do not think anyone wants to see Caroo suffer because his ladies got in the way of a good kid trying to do right.

If I was on the verge of being a millionaire several times over, and saving my mother, who in this case was in previous legal troubles, I would have let her fight it out knowing I would have the money to change things down the line. Carroo went from someone who can change the lives of his entire family to someone worse off than the average college grad, for what? Someone pulled his mom's hair? It was not bright.

If my 41 year-old, football player-producing mom couldn't kick the crap out of a 105 lb. girl, I'd be disappointed.

Not to mention, she clearly had help.

I'm with NIRH on this one - no reason to get in the middle of it. There were plenty of people there to break up the fight.

Besides, it only lasted 16 seconds, right? Isn't that the currently prevailing theory?

It's truly awesome how much restraint people here exercise ... two weeks after an incident that didn't involve them in any way.

I agree that it was not smart for him to leave the Hale Center, but can't really blame him for doing so knowing his mom/girlfriend were involved. All I'm saying is that if Carroo happens to be found innocent of all criminal activities, there is a lot of crow to be eaten on this board by those loudly and prematurely proclaiming his guilt. And I'll be right here ready to serve a healthy heaping of it.

Why does their need to be any connection between being a fan and having an opinion on LC's situation? That's the disconnect for me. Even if you are the biggest fan in the world you can still think that he is guilty. You may be wrong, you could be cynical, but what the heck does that have to do with rooting for the team to play well.

In the politically correct world in which we currently live, the narrative is ALWAYS the same...any woman making an accusation of being physically abused by a man must be 100 % supported and treated as a poor innocent victim and the accused must be immediately condemned as an evil, evil, cowardly abuser. Forget the fact that the accused is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty! When and if the accusation is proven to be true, the accused should be wholeheartedly condemned. Unfortunately in this current environment there is a rush to judgement and the accused must be immediately condemned and punished .

THE TEAM...THE TEAM...THE TEAM

With all of these events, save for the Barnwell grades, I have wondered what the team captains are doing to actually lead the team. We have little idea about what was known about the coming arrests, but it seems the coaching staff was surprised by it. I cannot help but think it would be very hard to keep the street fight and home invasion under wraps in the locker room. Someone not involved in those events must have known about them and either did not tell a captain or the captains did not move that information up the chain. We should have seen some suspensions based on breaking team rules. The team itself, with the help of its captains, needs to keep the ship going in the right direction with all oars in the water. They are all in it together.. they cannot tolerate aberrant behavior.

All that said... the Caroo story is that he was told not to go outside the Hale Center while his friends and family were involved in a fight. I don't know how many of us would have the cold discipline to follow that advice when you know your mom is in that fight. I think I'd fail that test 100% of the time.

We may have some tough graders, but why hand out F's before the final exams are in?

Wow

University teammates etc above family???
Let your mom get her *** kicked and sort it out later when you have money

I have no idea what was exactly going on or if the mother was an aggressor or victim. But let's pretend this fight didn't happen...those two opinions are just scary that anyone even thinks that way

Wtf is wrong with you guys?

What kind of a 41 year old woman is going to get brutally assaulted by an 18 year old...she popped out a WR but a recruiting hostess will pull her hair and she'll be toast...lol

Right? That's what I've been saying.

Leonte should have dragged the whole team out of the Hale Center and said, "Watch this - my moms is gonna beat this ***** stupid."
