Halfway through the season I don't see Indiana getting much better or worse. I think it will be nearly impossible for the selection committee to pass up the opportunity to match us up with Indiana in Louisville. In the way that we got jobbed last year and had to play Wichita in the second round, I see them doing the same to IU regardless of their play over the next month.

While Louisville seems like the logical 4 seed to meet next, I'm not convinced they would not prefer the rematch with Wichita.

Apples and oranges. UK was perhaps the most talented team in the nation last year as an 8 seed, while IU would have 0 chance of competing with UK in a 2nd round match up.

I don't think the committee is worried about how competitive it is, they just want it to rain money.

You can't tell me that Manhattan vs Louisville was an accident last year. It's always going to be about storylines and matchups.. Which I'm honestly ok with as long as it's kept in reason.

Money is the one and only driving force for tournament matchups. I suspect that when it is complete the bracket will be set to guarantee, as much as possible, a matchup with Indiana and Louisville. It may well turn out that neither of them is good enough to win and therefore force a different path but we will see.

Im cool with a bye to the next round. See UCLA/Kansas game.

Same type of team, good guards with ZERO post players. They could hit 15 threes against us and lose because that is all they will get.

One post above mentioned IU as a four seed in our region. I see no way they get a four seed. They're going to lose numerous games as the season goes on. I know they're ranked right now, but I think it's almost a certainty they're going to lose several games and drop out of the Top 25. I see them as a 6-9 seed when it's all said and done.

We didn't get jobbed last year. Wichita State got jobbed last year. Congrats you're a number 1 seed and undefeated, we'll let you play an uber talented Kentucky team in the 2nd round.

I agree that IU will be in our bracket as the 8/9 or 4/5 if their ranking will come anywhere close to either seeds. We were made an 8 seed last year for bracketing purposes when everyone knew we should be higher. Expect more of the same. Here's hoping it happens.
