Regardless of what happens in the BTT, I hope NU has a giant Selection Sunday watch party at Welsh Ryan, with no limit on student attendance — and maybe even incentives to show up, like food and swag. Huge celebration. There’s a chance (maybe?) the turnout could be bigger than 2017’s incredible, cathartic NCAA selection event. How ‘bout it?

The one wrinkle to this plan: Could the team get back to Evanston in time for the CBS show after their game on Sunday? ;-)

Maybe they skip the shower at the UC and take it in Welsh-Ryan instead. If they show up in their jerseys, they'll be heroes.

Update: NU has announced the same watch party event. Doors open at Welsh Ryan at 2:30pm CT, the program starts at 4, and the CBS broadcast starts at 5pm. Free admission, free commemorative poster. Tickets can be claimed at the link. Man, I wish I could be there…
