KSR reports that both D-1 baseball and Baseball America have us playing in the Clemson regional.
D-1 has us a 3 seed playing 2 seed Baylor, while BAmerica has us a 3 seed playing 2 seed Tennessee Tech.... I'll take it !

I’ve been to Clemson for a baseball game. Really nice place. I think it would be a good place for UK.
Seems like for the most part we will be healthy. I figured Mach would be shut down for the year, but UK twitter says he's back. The others were tired arms. They have had plenty of time to rest. Lewis was projected to be back in the regional. Not sure about Haake and Coleman. News has been quiet on their front, but surely they will be ready by Friday.
I don’t care where they play just as long as they are in the tournament.
That's the important thing, but I'd also like a favorable type of a matchup and, if we get there, a good super regional matchup.
I'd take a spot in Clemson or Minneapolis or STETSON in a heartbeat. We would have a chance to win any of those regionals.
I think we are good enough to beat anyone on any given day. We just have to get our minds right and play the way we can.
Pretty big black eye on our coach resume. Maybe we will stop hearing about how he is destined for the Miss State job.
UK is first team they’re discussing being left out of the field. Ray Tanner, selection chair, says it came down to sub-.500 conference record. ESPNU studio host says UK is clearly better team than Northeastern team that was allowed in.
I guess maybe Morehead took our spot, but we just faded down the stretch !
Like I said, not all conferences are created equal and it's ridiculous to hold that against us in the best conference in the country.
Injuries or not, to go from #8 in the country to not making the tournament is inexcusable. Really disappointed with the job the coaching staff did this year.
Not surprised, 13-18 + 20-20 in last 40 games just won't cut it. UT and Alabama series killed us
Plus getting swept by Vandy and Ark...lose a ton this season so next year could be rough. Ming needs to dumb down the schedule like u6 does
Ming has no one to blame but himself with his moronic coaching decisions. Should have Northeastern been in before us? Hell no. But it should not have come down to that decision.
Our out of conference record was fine. You can't dumb down the conference schedule and that is what cost us.
Injuries , especially with Zack and Collette hurt bad and the committee just screwed us. it's a shame you are such an ******* to not be willing to admit that
Injuries did hurt. But coaching decisions cost us games too. We all sat scratching our heads including yourself during games wondering what the coaching staff was doing.
I think injuries hurt a whole lot more. Yes, there were a few moves that we thought were dumb, but nothing makes up for the fact that we couldn't win a Saturday game without Thompson.
Here is another thing... Florida has only 1 win since May 13 and went 6 of 7 to close the season. Yet they didn't fall out of the 1 seed overall. UK went from being a bubble host to being out entirely.
I totally agree that the Bama game decision to leave in Haake was terrible. Still, we likely aren't in that situation at all if we have Thompson pitching that day.
I don't think we can downplay how huge it was losing Thompson and Collett. Without Collett our hitting, especially 6-8 suffered a ton and significantly limited our ability to score runs.
It's also telling that our last win in a game 2 was against Texas Tech on March 10 and Thompson pitched, although he did struggle some. We didn't win a game two in SEC play until he returned against Tennessee on May 5th. We then won both game 2s that he started. Pretty big change.
Why? Only coach to get us to a super regional and you want him gone?
From football to basketball to baseball, it’s been an absolute **** year for UK men’s sports.
I agree. I hope he stays. But if he pulls some of the same crap he did this year, I’m going to start questioning whether he is the answer here long term.
